why is it that I feel absolutely NO desire to pray for a woman who's selfishly and knowingly had scizzors jammed into her fetus's skull 1/2 way out the birth canal?
If I pray anything, I feel like praying that it does haunt her for life; IT SHOULD

those abortions (partial birth) are quite unusual, and I really think they should be allowed only for medical reasons.
Most abortions take place before it's even a fetus, when it's still a tiny cluster of cells, there is no stabbing necessary.
What the idiots don't know because they never research anything is that late-term and partial-birth abortions are carried out for extremely devastating medical reasons. These are not healthy pregnancies. Either the mother's life is at risk, or more likely the fetus is so horribly deformed or afflicted with hopeless mental retardation or birth defects that it will likely not survive, or survive only a short period of time in unimaginable suffering.
I second #819804. These are by far not the most common types of abortions performed. They are also tragic all around. Nadiine is clearly undereducated or an asshole - probably a little of both. Although she can be rest assured that, sadly, abortion or no in these types of cases, the woman will be haunted by the memory - probably for life.
Hmmm... I seem to recall a conversation that goes something like this:
Peter: Jesus, you tell us we have to forgive sinners, but... what if they keep sinning?
Jesus: Forgive them again.
Peter: Well just how many times do I gotta forgive them before I don't have to any more?
Jesus: Seventy times seven times.
Peter: Uh... urgh... I can't count that high, that's too big.
Jesus: Then just keep forgiving indefinitely, just to be sure. (to self:) Moron.
I know of no medical abortion procedure which involves jamming scissors into anything. Perhaps you haven't fully investigated your topic, Nadine.
That aside, I'm moved by your compassion for a woman faced with a difficult decision.
Xotan:
Indeed she is, and not only that but she got caught doing it.
Later she goes through the whole arsenal of tricks to get her out of that mess, including giving false witness (rewriting her own words to give them new meaning).
She hated the sinner, not the sin, and was to proud to admit it. Repent or burn honey.
I've only known one person that had a 3rd term abortion.
The fetus was dead, and if it had been left would of rotted inside of and killed the mother. Why would your god kill a baby that close to the birth?
Of course you can be happy that this person is so screwed up by the situation that she will never have children.
I'm a Christian, conservative, anti-abortion... and "Nadiine's" utter lack of love and compassion makes me want to head-desk so badly, right now.
All I can really say is that I apologize to everyone for her lack of Christian love and charity. I happen to agree with the belief that abortion is a terrible tragedy for everyone concerned. I do believe that it is wrong. But I hate, hate, hate how she is saying this belief, so self-righteously, so smugly, and with such venom towards a person who has had an abortion.
Please, all conservative Christians are not as lacking in compassion as this woman is. Although I'm sad to say that the ones who are like her tend to get a lot of press.
'Apparently she was about to go into premature labour at 22 weeks and the doctors advised her to abort because they said the little unborn girl would probably not survive and if she did she would almost certainly be severely disabled.'
Yeah, it would be far more loving to allow it to suffer. And it would be far more selfless to cling to it because you can't let go. Seriously, it must've been very hard for this woman to go through this since she was hoping to have a baby. Rabid pro-lifers are so shortsighted it's ridiculous.
when he puts it that way it does actually does sound quite awful.
"jammed into her fetus's skull 1/2 way out the birth canal?"
if it was coming out of the birth canal as part of a naturally induced birth and not some premature expulsion. then it's not abortion. it's infanticide, which is vary vary wrong.
i think it owuld be best to provide us with the contecst of this statment so that it can better be juged.
what would these people say to jesus if he said to their face "love thy enemy" i have a feeling the reply would be along the lines of "you fucking commie", "god hates liberals", and "we're doing god's work so shut up"
Baaawww women won't act the way I want them to. Grow up, and learn to spell, you blithering imbecile. Praying won't do jack, so how would you be helping anyway? You'd be better minding your own damn business instead of sticking your nose into other people's medical decisions.
If fundies worried as much about real problems like war, poverty, disease and people that are actually here as they do about who controls the uterus, we'd be well on the way to sorting those things out.

It's hard to say sometimes just what the outcome will be when you have a premature infant. I myself was born premature and was very small when delivered. I had several complications, and there was a very good chance that I would not survive or would be profoundly disabled. However, I had a great, caring team of doctors and nurses working with me and my parents were hopeful for my survival. Today, at the age of 23, I'm fine and have suffered no long-term complications. Personally, I do give God the credit for that, as well as the intervention of the wonderful medical staff who cared for me.
My gods haven't commanded me to love everyone like your god has, Nadiine, so unlike you, I'm not sinning when I say:
I hope your heartlessness, as displayed here, haunts you for life. IT SHOULD.
I hope every employer who interviews you checks you out on the Internet (and they do, these days) and finds this, the mirror of your true self. I hope everyone you meet does the same thing, so they can see just what a self-righteous, heartless little bitch you are.
In short, your bad attitude will ruin your life... AND IT SHOULD!
PS. Enjoy your abortion(s). With your "it can't happen to me" smugness, you'll have them. Repeatedly. And when you're done, you'll pick up that protest sign and get right back to calling the people who just helped you "baby murderers", you ungrateful little twat.
Then, as you are so "selfless", Nadiine, you can take care of THIS or THIS until its inevitable death, OK?
(Pictures hidden due to their gruesome nature.)
Maybe you should read all about how thousands and thousands of men, women (which included those that were pregnant) children, infants, nursing babies and animals were slaughtered by devine decree in worse ways in the OT. Why again was that ok?
1 Samuel 15:3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
Numbers 31:17: Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. (we won't even discuss keeping the 32000 virgins alive to be raped later)
Confused?
