Atheism is cowardice, pure and simple. It's the ultimate "I am my own God, and nothing you say can change my mind" - principle. Admitting that someone else is in control would be horrendous, worthy of no good atheist. And not only that: it is also illogical and unsound and not consequent.

The flip side to that is, of course, blind faith (that someone is actually driving the bus while you all are praying in the back) is not a good idea either.
So a stupid book has some stupid stories about some stupid tribal bogeyman. So?
Christianity is cowardice, pure and simple. It's the ultimate "GODDIDIT" - principle. Admitting that you alone are in control would be horrendous, worthy of no good Christian. And not only that: it is also illogical and unsound and not consequent.
Fixed.
Religion is cowardice, pure and simple. Its pretty much "I am too scared to even see if this god is real or not so I won't question him"
Thinking for yourself would be horrendous to a simpleton who believes that the Invisible Sky Wizard will punish them
I understood you in the first sentence. You're wrong in conclusion but The sentence is clear.
Then you decided to speak in tonques and punctuate in tonques and blabber rubbish so...
fuck you and the donkey you rode in on.
It's not poetry but it's how I feel when I see crap like this.
Atheist's never claim to be a God of any kind. Christians always claim to be God's buddy. Devine. Better than thou.
And your always so wrong
I am not my own God. All the mistakes I make in my life, if I were my own God, I'd convert to Islam.
(Except I like bacon, so maybe not...)
Christianity is cowardice, pure and simple. It's the ultimate: "My God will show you all while he will reward ME!, and nothing you say can change my mind" - principle. Admitting that your imaginary "big brother" doesn't exist and that you must take responsibility for your own life is horrendous, worthy of no good christian. And not only that: It is also extremely illogical and unsound and total nonsense.
We exist. Reality exists. We have some knowledge of reality, thanks to perception and reason, though the knowledge is incomplete and subject to error. We should correct our beliefs whenever they contradict evidence or the logical consequences of evidence. We can work to change reality up to a point, despite our limited individual power, even though there is a large number of factors beyond our direct control.
We know what we perceive and deduce, and we act the changes we work to do, if they are possible in the first place.
I fail to see how this is "arrogant".
Admitting you are in control of your own life, and not beholden to the whim of some cosmic fairy king, is cowardice?
Yeah, the Nuremberg defence is the height of bravery.
Dipshit.
Edit: Is that a complete Godwin, or just 50%?
I have never believed that I am my own God, dipshit. Atheists don't believe in Gods, so by your reckoning not one of us can believe in ourselves.
What is illogical is believing in the power of an invisible and utterly ridiculous sky fairy.
“Atheism is cowardice, pure and simple.”
Okay.
“It's the ultimate "I am my own God,”
I don’t believe in any gods, i am one. Uh huh…
“and nothing you say can change my mind" - principle.”
I don’t know of any atheists that say that. I DO know a LOT of christains who insist that if it’s in the Bible, nothing science can prove will change their mind.
“Admitting that someone else is in control would be horrendous,”
Show me a reason to think anyone is in control, then?
“worthy of no good atheist.”
Well, no. If they’re atheist, they don’t believe in a supreme being. WHY would you expect them to admit to one?
“And not only that: it is also illogical”
Show the logic failure, then?
“and unsound”
Only if you can provide evidence for any gods, especially yours.
“and not consequent.”
Huh?
Actually, a great deal of thought went into my search for god and waking up one day to the fact that i had become an atheist was the direct consequence of my search.
Theism is cowardice, pure and simple. It's the "I KNOW my God is the only real one and nothing you say can change my mind" - principle. Admitting that noone else is in control would be horrendous, worthy of no good theist. And not only that: it is also illogical and unsound and not consequent.
Confused?
