Not hardly --- atheism is, in fact, a polytheistic form of worship, with a female as it's primary deity - (Mother Nature).

Who said I worship anybody? Or that "Mother Nature" is multiple gods?
If I was going to worship a female, I'd worship... some anime character... Probably Asuka or Rei... Or Kagome... Kirara... Sango... That cyborg...
If I was going to worship a male, I'd ask myself why I wasn't worshipping a female anime character instead.
Because atheists tend not to believe that the end of the world is coming and there's no need to take care of the earth?
Whatever it was, you made an Olympic-worthy leap of logic there.
Yet another home skuled pea brain who hasn't the foggiest notion of what their mother-tongue means.
The prefix "a-" means "without" or "not" as in amoral (without morals), atypical (not typical) or atheist (without belief in the existence of a god or gods). Atheists, therefore, do not worship any god(s) as they are without belief in the existence of tjem.
The prefix "poly" means "many," and "polytheistic" means "many gods." A polytheist would worship many gods, and the primary diety could be male, female, both, or neither.
There are a number of faiths that have a belief in Mother Nature as a spirit to be worshipped (or at least revered), but atheism is not one of them.
As an atheist (technically, a Bright) who doesn't give fuck-all about the environment, I respectfully submit, you're wrong.
Atheism = 0 gods
Polytheism > 1 gods
No, not the same.
Christianity = 1 god in 3 persons
logical impossibility
Bibliotry: Martin Luther said the Bible, when worshiped, was a Paper Pope.
Let's compare, shall we?
Atheist: "I don't believe in any god."
Polytheist: "I believe in a number of gods."
These are NOT THE SAME -- in fact, they are OPPOSITES!

If I were going to worship a female, it would have to be a sex goddess.
Otherwise, why waste my time?
Damn. You caught us. We should have known better than to try and slip one past a cerebral juggernaught such as yourself, AV. But remind me would you- I left my copy of 'So you want to be a polytheistic atheist' in my other straitjacket- if Mother Nature is our primary deity, what are some of the others? I'd love to hear how much you've uncovered about us.
When you have learned the difference between "its", and "it's", I may have, in fact, slightly more interest in your weighty theological ponderings. Not hardly, Pyle.
Face it, folks...
There are infinite ways to misconstrue something. A new one is bound to be found sometime!
Fundy creativity in misunderstanding just about anything, however, is for me a source of constant amazement and wonder. Not quite as much as Mother Nature's creativity, but almost.
Just when I think "AV1611VET"'s comments can't get any dumber, he trumps me. Die in a fire, like, now.
In fact, Christianity is actually a polytheistic form of worship, with stupidity and bigotry as it's [sic] primary deities.
I bet you didn't know that. But it's true because I started it with "In fact..."
I think everyone on that forum should raise money to buy AV1611 a dictionary, so he won't appear so idiotic about the meaning of some fairly common words. Shit, what am I saying, he is too dumb to read it(or understand it)!
Every dictionary in the English language says you're wrong, AV.
What does it feel like to have a crippling inability to grasp reality?
Can't you just stick to anthropomophicizing your shit and leave ours well alone?
(Boy, Father Time really sent you senile early on didn't he)
While I do have a light shade of Gaiaistic belief, I'm mostly the on the border between Agnostic and Athiestic. Basically, no, Athiests in general don't worship the Earth mostly because it is the absence of religion.
It's interesting to me how often one hears the claim that atheism is a religion. Is it that people who make this claim can't imagine a category describing non-religion, or that they think they can make atheists feel uncomfortable this way? The latter makes a certain amount of sense. I can see a lot of atheists' buttons being pushed by that, but I'll bet the former's pretty common too.
Nooo, atheism doesn't HAVE a diety because atheism is in and of itself the lack of a belief in ANY deities.
Altho in my opinion, the idea of a female creator goddess makes a helluva lot more sense than a male one.
Yes. Their unhallowed pantheon also includes Charles Darwin, Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Father Time, and The Flying Spaghetti Monster ... They clearly altered most of our contemporary English dictionaries to conceal their heretical paganism.
“Not hardly --- atheism is, in fact, a polytheistic form of worship,”
By not believing in any gods of man, i believe in many gods?
Cute trick. How did it work, with mirrors?
“with a female as it's primary deity - (Mother Nature).”
Uhhhhhh no. Nature is real. It works. Many of it’s processes are predictable to some degree. That doesn’t mean we hold it to be sentient or divine. it’s just a catch term.
Samway saying ‘sunrise’ does not mean we think the sun orbits the Earth.
Confused?
