Back in what day? You do realize, of course, that Aristotle, Plato's student "back in the day", measured the curvature of the Earth and made a really great guess as to its size? You do realize that it was a well-known fact by the time Columbus sailed that the Earth was spherical and that the whole "sailing off the edge of the Earth" bit was just so much sailor superstition?
So, I guess it was superstition , not science that tried to say the Earth was flat even after the shape of the Earth had already become well-known fact, eh?
Would you like to try again - say, with heliocentrism? You know you're going to lose again, I hope.
And who is it embracing these erroneous theories, now that they've been proven false?

Must be Backwards Day in that forum. Y'see, theories are refined as & when new evidence arises. Just as Ferdinand Magellan proved the Earth was round (thus destroing that part of Genesis describing the Earth as not only flat, but with four corners & on pillars), Sputnik 1 further destroyed that part of Genesis, by proving there wasn't a solid 'dome' that was the 'Firmament' which was the 'heavens'. Further destroyed by Yuri Gagarin, when he said (whilst in orbit):
'I looked and looked, but I didn't see God'
Thus I think you'll find it's:
