Why would being a Communist nation necessarily mean our military is weak? China is communist, and they have the largest standing army in the world.
Besides that, Lord Zeruel, isn't the apocolypse what the church has been waiting for for 2000 years now? It would seem that if this scenario were to play out, the fundies would be thrilled. After all, the truly faithful are to be "raptured" before the Mark of the Beast is imposed on humanity.

More excellent news! Getting rid of guns would be a step in the right direction, for sure. Unless you're some neanderthal who thinks they have a right to own a device designed solely to inflict injury and death, but I don't really care about what such violent types think.

Well, first off, continuing the policies of Clinton would actually include a strong military. He increased military funding appropriately, so I'm not sure where that comes from.was . Quick correction: The Secretary of State takes over when the Pres and Vice Pres are outed for any reason. then Cabinet officials (in order of the departments' creation).

The United States already has a weak millitary! You guys get very little bang for your buck. In terms of numbers China has about 10 times your number of guys- and they pay far less for them. Furthermore, they do not care about casualties, so they can keep blazing away in quagmires forever.

I recently watched the movie Turbokid, a recent Canadian/New Zealandian(sp?) production, shot as a throwback to the trashy Mad Max-style end-times movies of the 1980s.
