Just another one of the books by the author of the Da Vinci Code. Brown has a reputation for combining decent plotting with horrible writing and the most laughable woo.

No one is doing experiments or research concerning dark matter in order to disprove God.

Dark matter is everywhere. It's what holds our friggin' galaxy together because of its impact on gravity, you nimrod. Without it, the universe as we know it couldn't exist. We can't "create" matter. Matter can neither be created or destroyed.
Don't be dissing CERN. CERN is building a particle collider that could completely prove the standard model of physics at long last.
