When I read people posting rampant lies like this, it just makes me furious. The fact that they typically also claim to hold some sort of moral high ground over scientists, who actually do try to find out truths and disseminate them instead of just inventing lies like this, makes me downright apoplectic with indignation.

Dang, I must have incorrectly cut-n-pasted the quote. The entire thing is much funnier, IMHO. In response to the fact that the Earth had been discovered to be ancient long before evolutionary theory, Prophetable speculates on the "spiritual source" of the evidence geologists found.

Evidence has been found. Tons of it in fact. It's just that the likes of you deny its existence, or worse yet, attribute its existence to the malevolent machinations of a supernatural being.

As a scientist myself, what David D.G. said. And having these assholes in your biology classroom is even more aggravating. As a professor, you have to be kind, considerate and respectful even though you feel like screaming out "You're a lying sack of shit. And if you can't accept the science why not go to one of those fundy colleges where you can indulge in delusional psuedoscience."
I have a slab of uranium. Half of it has decayed into lead. Uranium has a half-life of 4 billion years. That means that this piece of uranium, along with the rock strata it was found in, must be 4 billion years old.
And yet, when oil companies go prospecting, they always consult geologists who understand that the Earth is ancient, not YEC's. They do this because real geologists get results, YEC's do not.
Is that falsified enough for you?

That's because they started with the conclusion that "there is no evidence falsifying YEC". And if they find evidence that they think might falsify it, of course it's the evidence that's wrong, not their conclusion.

What would falsify YECism? Deciding falsification is part of the scientific method, isn't it?
No real scientists have ever bothered with YEC, any more than real scientists have bothered with Mylings or Bandersnatches.
