I dont care what you believe, but US was founded as a place where you believe in god, that is what our fourfathers died for
Do you think we should make religion mandatory, and what happens if someone doesnt believe in god, what do you think we should do with them?

And Allah, and Vishnu, and Thor, and not god.
No, it was secular. "Shall make no law respecting religion or something like that"
I think you should freaking leave us alone.

Wrong.
Do you think we should make religion mandatory, and what happens if someone doesnt believe in god, what do you think we should do with them?
I hear Iran has that problem sorted out.
I don't know about you, but I don't have four fathers.
I do, however, have forefathers.
Some of them were religious, and they had the better fucking sense to know, having lived thru religious wars and persecutions, that it is fucking stupid to allow any group of people to define God for them.
God is not your pit bull.
Step back to the century you came from, and back away from the keyboard. Dumbass.
TREATY OF TRIPOLI, BITCH.
(Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.)
I dunno about y'all, but I've only got one father, not four. Dude named Mike. Still alive.
Separation.
Of.
Church.
And.
State.
Duh.
Yup, your 'fourfathers' sure died for the right to believe in God, considering the people they were fighting against (my forefathers, unfortunately) were trying to force them to believe in God.
I mean, dude, WTF?
[I dont care what you believe,]
Back at ya.
[...US was founded as a place where you believe in god...]
Yet it doesn't say as much in the Constitution. Why do you suppose that is?
[Do you think we should make religion mandatory]
The Constitution specifically forbids this. Are you saying that we should abandon it? That's not what our forefathers died for.
[...what happens if someone doesnt believe in god, what do you think we should do with them?]
You basically have two options: (1) You can let them go on their merry little way, or, (2) You can pull some insane fundy shit, violate their rights, and go to jail.
Let me know which you decide to do.
JesusChrist69? Isn't that username kinda...dirty?
You had fourfathers? Damn, your mom must have been hot!PS If you want mandatory religion, move to Iran. In the US we have a little thing called the Constituion that makes that illegal as well as violating the freedoms that our FOREFATHERS founded the country on.
/I dont care what you believe, but US was founded as a place where you believe in god, that is what our fourfathers died for/
Considering the fact that many of our FOREFATHERS were deists or agnostics, I really doubt that.
/Do you think we should make religion mandatory/
No, because then it begets the question, which religion? Hinduism? Islam? Christianity? Buddhism? Judaism? If your answer is number three, then which denomination of Christianity? Catholicism? Orthodoxy? Mormonism? Protestantism? Which kind of Protestantism? See what you did there?
/and what happens if someone doesnt believe in god,/
Nothing. Absolutely nothing happens, because it is nobody's business.
/what do you think we should do with them?/
Leave them alone because, again, it is nobody's business? Sheesh.
"and what happens if someone doesnt believe in god, what do you think we should do with them?"
Subject them to oral sex, every stinking day, till they give in. There are times when strong measures are needed.
"I dont care what you believe, but US was founded as a place where you believe in god, that is what our fourfathers died for"
No it's not. They died so they, and you, wouldn't have to put up with English rule and all the crap that went with it.
"Do you think we should make religion mandatory, and what happens if someone doesnt believe in god, what do you think we should do with them?"
Leave them alone?
No. That doesn't even begin to resemble what our forefathers died for.
I have always scratched my head over people who think they can force someone to believe something. You can force someone to practice something- you shouldn't, in most cases, but you can - but you can't make someone think something. No matter how you may wish otherwise, we will always have freedom of thought.
Catholic emancipation in the United Kingdom preceded the Revolutionary war. Other sects that existed before that war included Unitarians and Presbyterians.
Non-Anglicans were barred from some positions and could not attend Oxford or Cambridge, if I recall correctly. However theology degrees handed out by "Non-conformist" institutions were generally accepted as real. The Unitarian minister Joseph Priestley's doctorate of divinity was recognised and he was generally called "Doctor".
So there was a fair degree of freedom of religion in the United Kingdom before the USA was a glint in Washington's eye.
Some of the "fourfathers" wanted a "No Popery" clause in the US constitution but Jefferson et al were wise enough to ignore that.
History, dear boy, history.
Confused?
