I will finish up by saying don't be fooled by the religoun of evolution. For those of you who haven't been handed over to a reprobate mind, there really is a God. And his law is quite simple, love the Lord Keep his commandments and love your neighbor. But the world does not want love so they reject Jesus.
Don't be fooled by the Tv preachers or Pagan Churches like the Catholic Church. Don't be fooled by vain philosophy.

Are the commandments you speak of contained in the OT section or the NT? They're contradictory, if you haven't noticed.
Is your god the one described in the OT or this Jesus character? Again, the same problem.
And you really should update your definition of "pagan." Makes you look like a moron.
"...Pagan Churches like the Catholic Church. "
Considering that the Catholic Church were the original Christians, and your particular brand is a splinter group, I'd say YOURS is the "pagan church."
Speaking of love, when do you start with loving your neighbour instead bothering him with unimportant nigglings about his supposed shortcommings?
Perhaps the world would not "reject" Christianity if their members would act like Jesus told them.
"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." -Mahatma Gandhi
I'm Pagan, and the Catholics have nothing to do with us.
I love my Gods, and my neighbor, just as you Christians often claim to do.
Also, I am a firm theist AND a firm believer in the ongoing process of evolution. Frankly, I consider the prospect of being a step in the ultimate development of life on Earth both inspiring and humbling. I find it a pity that I won't live to see the next step in the One's great plan for life.
Hey Heavie, no worries, we're not fooled by any religion. And I think most of us do love, or maybe respect, our neighbours, even if they're religious nutters. It's the religions we don't like, the nutters are just nuts. Sort of analogous to loving the sinner but hating the sin.
"Don't be fooled by the Tv preachers or Pagan Churches like the Catholic Church."
Don't concern yourself in even the slightest on that one.
"Don't be fooled by vain philosophy."
We're not. Nor by humble philosophy either. Not even by the philosophy of a humble janitor who has the loftiest of aspirations.
People do and can believe in evolution and the existance of a God.
Oh Heaven's Janitor, there is no way to reason with you. May God truly help you indeed.
"But the world does not want love so they reject Jesus."
That's not how humans work. When your Jesus is capable of showing people love (and it's not imaginary love that doesn't help anything, or love which is really hate), people will stop "rejecting" him.
In the meantime, it's not TV preachers* or "pagan" churches that I base my understanding of evolution on. It's called the scientific method.
(*I dunno where this guy is from but around here all the TV preachers spout feel-good crap, stage "healings", and ask for money. Occasionally they pretend to have a skeptical discussion of science (incl. evolution and archaeology) that is nothing of the sort, nor in favor of accepted science.)
Catholics are about as far from pagan as you can get. Y'know, since they were the first Christian church ever. I'd also like to point out that my particular pagan faith strongly encourages giving to charity, being respectful of others and doing what you can to make the world a nicer place to live. Whether or not you actually believe in our gods is secondary to how you live your life.
"For those of you who haven't been handed over to a reprobate mind, there really is a God."
Evidence? None! Fuck off.
I think that, except for the first commandment(very vague the way you present it), you haven't been very consistent to the other two, you know, deliberately lying and attacking them for constating the validity of a theory which in no way contradicts the belief in God(that is, if you don't take Genesis to the letter)
'love the Lord Keep his commandments and love your neighbor'
All of which can be done whilst still accepting evolution. So what's the real reason for not accepting it?
Ah I see, you're an anti-intellectual fuckwit.
there really is a God
Prove it. We've proved evolution (though you'll just stick your fingers in your ears and yell LA-LA-LA) but have absolutely no evidence for your god.
Scientist: "If we follow the fossil records, not to mention what we know of micro-evolution, there is strong evidence suggesting macro-evolution is indeed a natural process."
Heaven's Janitor: "NO IT'S NOT! BECAUSE THERE'S A GOD! SO THERE!"
Do you see why you keep losing these things, Janny?
I really hope that was Heaven's Janitor finishing up because he is really starting to make me nauseous.
@The L - Sorry you are just as whack as most of these fundies. You either believe in magic or you don't.
"I will finish up by saying don't be fooled by the religoun of evolution."
Since when are scientific theories religions? Can I convert to evolution from being a follower of the theory of gravity?
"...love your neighbor."
"Pagan Churches like the Catholic Church."
Looks like someone is not loving his neighbor.
Can anyone tell me where they get this "reprobate mind" nonsense? I can almost see a curmudgeonly, rambling old pastor, casting hellfire and brimstone down from his pulpit.
Please let me know if I'm close. I've seen it more than once here.
@ JohnTheAtheist
Belief or lack thereof is rarely as cut-and-dry as that. Theists can accept the ToE with little need to rationalise (or none at all, depending on the faith).
The way you phrased that comment came across as "either accept evolution as an atheist or don't accept it at all" o_O
'love the Lord Keep his commandments and love your neighbor'
Funny, fundies don't think that last bit applies to them. They think it should be legal to persecute/harass/kill thy neighbor, if thy neighbor is homosexual/uses birth control/had an abortion/isn't a mindless fundy. Heaven's Janitor is really sweeping up the trash in HELL.
Actually, God's Law is quite complicated, a whole slew of commandments regarding how to properly beat your slaves, how to take a dump, how to burn animals in sacrifice, etc.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
