What is it about freedom that liberals hate the most?
Funny. I recall the Patriot Act, and systematic stripping of freedoms being enacted by a CONSERVATIVE government. Silly me.
It's an honest question.
1) "Global Warming" is just a way to implement international command and control for the sake of command and control.
While I do think Global Warming isn't as big as it's hype, I'd rather play it safe and never know than find out otherwise the hard way.
2) Social(ist) Security is just a way to enslave the productive people for the benefit of the unproductive and lazy.
Yes, there are those that abuse the system. but there are many more that use it as a legitimate way to get back on their feet. And if a few bucks off my paycheck helps make sure someone goddamn well EATS tonight, I don't feel bad for it.
3) They want to judicially force gay marriage onto society.
As opposed to you forcing your way into something that's none of your business? If your marriage is so weak that gays getting married will destroy it, you have way bigger problems than us, buddy.
4) They want to take away the freedom to keep and bear arms.
No, we just don't think you should be wandering around downtown with one. Keep one or two for protection, sure...but you better hope that burglar doesn't have one too. Oh, and most just want a decent registry to track said guns, and make it more difficult for those that shouldn't have guns to get them.
5) They want to pull out of Iraq.
As soon as you can provide concrete proof that the troops have a reason to be there, as opposed to questionable allegations of WMDs and Al Qaida links, I'll support the war. And how does NOT wanting a nation's children being sent off to the slaughter constitute being anti-Freedom?
The list goes on and on.
Unfortunately, I'm sure it does.
