Dear jamie,
Sorry to disillusion you but eating the wrong foods may make you obese or cause internal problems. It will, however, not cause you to be gay.
On the other hand, if eating one food makes you gay, then eating some other must make you straight. But then by default, we must all be somewhat gender neutral. What do you think? Are you by nature androgynous?
Now there's an FDA warning I doubt we'll ever see:
"Caution: This peant butter contains X, the ingestion of which may cause some people to lose sexual interest in the opposite sex and become sexually interested in their own sex. For the antidote to restore straightness, experiment with different kinds of jelly."

I assume he meant "gm" (genetically modified) food, not "em", but it still doesn't mean he actually understands anything, least of all, what genetically modified crops are or what homosexuality is.
No Bob_Zimmerman, I think he did mean "em" foods, like marshmallows, mayonaise, mangoes, melba toast... all suspiciously gay-sounding if you ask me.
I think he's on to something. I say let's eradicate all em foods before we all turn gay!

Yes, everyone knows that there is more concentrated "gayness" in marshmallows than any other food.
It's usually spelt with a leading apostrophe, but yes "em" is dialectal version of the pronoun "them", and is sometimes used in the way you describe.
However, since he's asserting it to be unnatural, the theory that it's a typo for gm seems more sensible. Then again, jamie doesn't seem the sensible sort.
Confused?
