Well, they don’t FULLY explain it, no. There are other parts.
On the other hand, creationists point to similarities between organisms and say, “That similarity is PROOF that they share a common designer!” And they also point to diversity and say, “That diversity is PROOF that our common designer has a great imagination.”
You can’t have it both ways.
