according to one source, he's passed on. But he is a fundie, shock jock of televangelism. Demands money, then doesn't return a favor.
Why, if it isn't the legendary (and late) Gene Scott! Talk.origins regulars will be familiar with this dude! Scott was weird even by fundie standards. I don't recall any mention of Tourette's, though. Jack Daniels, yes.
Yep, he's dead. From Wikipedia:
"Originally diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2000, Gene Scott declined conventional medical treatment and instead relied on faith in God to heal him. While boldly and proudly claiming that he had been completely healed, the cancer continued to spread and over the next four years the cancer spread unchecked to all the major systems of the body. A few days prior to his death, he experienced a cancer-related stroke and entered in to a coma. While in this comatose state in Glendale Adventist Hospital, Dr. William Eugene Scott suffered a fatal stroke and was pronounced dead at 4:30 P.M. PST on Monday, February 21, 2005."
...thank God!
Holy crap - I thought he was dead, but this made me think twice!
Heh. I used to work at Prudential Securities in S.F. years ago. This guy was a fairly heavy investor though the broker I worked for. The broker warned us that if he ever called, we were NOT to put him on hold or otherwise make him wait. Just put him straight through to the broker.
Dude was heavily invested in oil stocks and other companies with questionable moral credentials. I always wondered if those "donations" he was soliciting were really going to a church or to these investments.
Gene Scott was another in a line of great evangelical tax-dodgers. At one time he had a salery of $1 + expenses. Of course, his huge home, many expensive cars and world travel were all deemed business expenses. Dr. Dino probably wet his pants in envy.

So he's a fundy AND a Darwin canidate..
Thankfully, this one has a law to it...
God loves cussing theorem:
( R x F ) p
-------- x --- = S
A P
Where:
R = the amount of religous fevor the poster professes
F = the numner of times the poster claims that god loves and forgives them despite their (obvious) shortcomings.
A = their ability to spell/use punctuation/understand how the internet works.
p = the number of posts the poster makes total.
P = the amount of times the poster actually attempts to make a point, rather than just restating "OMGZ yur meen!11"
S = the amount of unprovoked swearing the poster does
if S > 1, the poster must forward their argument to the entire youth group and face punishment by their respective church.
This guy is dead, but he was a jerk. Swearing calling people names and taking from the poor. Gene Scott lived like a king while people eat dog food and he said he was a man of GOD. He owned a limo and a jet, yet he talked like he was from skid-row. Gene once said, if his ex-wife would make it to heaven, then he wanted to go too another planet. Gene was not a man of GOD. He was a wolf in sheep's clothing. Satan himself.
Confused?
