The Spainish Inqisition, carried out in the name of the pope, 'god' of the catholics, killed more people than any other so-called 'tyrant' in history. The only evil in this world is catholism, not Nazism.

The Pope is not the god of Catholics, he is god's representative on earth.
I am guessing that killing millions of non-christians (Jews in particular) doesn't disturb you any.
Seems you forget that your Jesus was a Jew, and he might kinda take exception to your admiring the guys who killed millions of his own people while reviling his father's representative on earth. He might just interpret that as evil.
Something you might want to think about.
If you can find your brain.
Uh...would you like to borrow my tweezers?
First it's the Atheists. Then it's the Muslims. Then it's the "false" christians. Then it is the homosexuals. Then it is the Catholics. Or, mix it up in whatever order you like. Any way it is written it means the same thing.
Self centered, egotistical, selfish, arrogant, narcissistic fundies.
Killing for god; only an acceptable option for fundies.
The Pope is supposed to be a representative of God, not a god himself. You know, like a pastor or vicar (albeit in a funny hat).
The number of deaths during the Spanish Inquisition is LESS than the number of deaths in the Holocaust. History revisionism = fail.
For the hat-trick: Hitler was a Catholic, and even had the support of the Catholic Church at the beginning of WWII.
In other words, aussiefttfan is a failure as a human being. May he kindly fuck off.
And where did the Christian churches come from? And do you honestly think that the Catholic church has directly killed more people than the Nazis did (given how much larger populations were after the Industrial Revolution, for one, and considering that slaughtered in both active warfare and homeland execution). Do you honestly think that there is only one source for evil in this world? Did you honestly just say that the Pope is the Catholic's God, when they worship the same God that Christians do?
Are you retarded, or just trying to make some kind of bizarre, underhanded point?
Oddly enough, Hitler was Catholic....
But in their defense, Hitler eventually split away from the Catholic church and made sort of a pseudo-religion out of Nazism. Oh and yes, he was MUCH worse than the Spanish Inquisition.
By the by, you're both Christians. Show some fucking loyalty, already.
I must say, Catholics and Protestants have the same bible, the same god, and (for the most part) the same beliefs. Ridiculing one ridiculing one means ridiculing the other.
Over their history i'm sure the christians killed more than Nazi Germany, might be close though. Only because the church didn't build war machines (Technically, Hitler had deep religious convictions and Catholics were the power religion of Nazi Germany so, add them together.)
There is not ONE thing that will ever be the ONLY evil in the world. But as noted above, Christianity has been at the front of a lot of it
The Nazis felt it wasn't enough to kill 9 million people in the Holocaust, and started a world war as well, and were responsible for all those deaths. That man, Hitler, killed more people than were even ALIVE in Europe during the Inquisition.
Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our three weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... Our four...no... amongst our weapons.... amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise.... I'll come in again...
Nobody expects Historical revisionism(hey, just like Holocaust, what a coincidence. I have never heard something so bizarre since "Catholics are not Christians"[don't tell them about Orthodoxs, they will burn out])
Isn't it amusing that 2 of the 3 republican front runners for President are (evil) Catholics? (Gingrich and Santorum).
And the other one - Romney is even worse, he's a MORMON!!!111!
Number of people killed by the Spanish Inquisition: 2,000 - 3,000
Number of people killed in the Holocaust: 11 million
So, according to Fundie Math:
2,000 > 11 million
Ironically, the Spanish Inquisition had not much to do with the pope, being more controlled by the Spanish monarchs. Thus the Spanish part of its name, in comparison to the “normal”, papal inquisition.
PS: Also, note the spelling of the word “Spanish”.
Confused?
