This place is filled with people who do not take God's word literally, and find all ways of excusing this. I choose not to hang around people who cannot see the error in Women Preachers, listening to the Beatles, thinking spanking your children is child abuse, whether evoution is true or not... the list is LONG. And I am very greived in spirit by the lack of zeal in God's supposed followers. Why arnt we taking God's word as literal, a handbook because God loves us so very much, and if we just do it HIS way, we wont have some of the troubles we do. I have met very zealous people on here who believe the Bible and use it for their sole authority, but there are others who clearly ignore its teachings, and I cannot hang around and agree with this. If you want to talk to me out side of here feel free to PM me. Im sorry to leave on such terms, but I am evidently upset about this. May God grant you peace and a give you a hope in Him.

Oh yes... everyone! lets take the bible literally, I'm serious! lets do what these fundies want! .. the moment they sin .. we can stone them! .. if they really want to take the bible literal .. they wouldnt have a problem coming out and saying "stone me to death, for I have sinned!"
I have yet to see a fundie who actually does follow the bible literally. They certainly don't adhere to the laws of Leviticus.
If a god existed, and it wanted me to have hope in its existence, it would've happened.
"Whether evolution is true or not" is an error, now?everyone's wrong. Or everyone's right and evolution is both true and not true. In which case you're supporting quantum mechanics. Which effectively nullifies the need for a creator.

Besides, little brain lady on Christ, the Bible was inspired by God, but interpreted and explained by men. They, like humans they are, commit mistakes. That´s why we don´t take it literarilly.
And, LittleladyinChrist, being a woman, should be giving men advice, as the Bible says.

Nobody took God's Word literally before Bibles were to be found in every home. Only a few monks and nuns knew the Bible well enough to take it literally before that.
Listening to the Beatles? Which decade did you just arrive from?
