Um, murder is the default name for illegal/unauthorized killing, sport.
Also, fetuses aren't persons yet.
Finally, the fact that abortions of the 'back-alley' variety take place doesn't make ALL of them illegal, in a country where it is not illegal federally.

If abortion WAS murder, those participating in it WOULD be breaking the law regardless of your initial claim, however, abortion is NOT murder, so STFU.

Whether your like it or not, abortion is legal, and are LEGALLY performed. And you had better check your statistics again. More abortions are performed in Indonesia, China, and India than in the US.

Being pro-choice doesn't mean that you necessarily agree with all choices, or that you love abortions and think they're just the niftiest thing ever. It just means that you think abortion is a matter of individual choice.
And abortion is a last resort! Who would rather pay $500+ bucks for an invasive, painful surgery than pay $10 for a box of easy-to-use, painless condoms?
Also, we know fetuses aren't people if they don't fit the definition of what makes a person. Typically, it's a sentient human being. Fetuses may be human, but they are not sentient. If we do decide that they are persons, why aren't animals people? All that separates us is DNA.
But even if a fetus IS a person, that doesn't give it the right to live in someone else's body without their consent.
A friend of mine not too long ago had an abortion. She'd cheated on her boyfriend and had left him to marry the other guy, but things fell apart and she didn't feel right carrying the child to term. She mentioned something disapproving about a friend of hers who had had one seemingly more for convenience and I said, "Look, I'm adopted. Coming around to a pro-choice position was incredibly difficult for me and I'm still not terribly comfortable with it, so I'm not going to condemn anyone for their reasons for aborting."
