In Canada our two biggest political groups are actually called Consevative and Liberal, Same shit, different names. No real difference at all.

Satan is certainly a liberal, compared with 'Conservative' God. So even if Satan exists, he's far superior to your God, certainly morally, therefore more worthy of belief.
You're walking on extremely thin theological ice here, Cap'n, and that very heavy dogma you're carrying isn't helping, neither.
@Darth Wang: I think that it's because Satan caused Adam and Eve to be banished from Eden, thereby insuring that all mankind would never return to Paradise. Sure, it was God who was directly responsible for their expulsion, but it's implied in the Bible that the serpent deliberately tried to get them kicked out by tricking them with the whole fruit scenario.
And then there's the way that God and Lucifer are viewed. Satan has been seen throughout the centuries as this diabolical tempter who tries to ensnare humans into doing the wrong things, whereas God is seen as the omnipotent, righteous authority whose actions are justified by the evil of mankind. If God punishes mankind, it's only just. If Satan hurts mankind in any way, it's not for the sake of some greater good or morals, it's just for kicks (or to spite God). In the eyes of many Christians, Satan doesn't do bad things for mankind's benefit; he only does them because he's "evil," and that's that.

Re the topic at hand: Yeah, those ebil ideas of freedom and "all men are created equal", we can't have any of that, can we? In God's eye, some men are more equal than others (and women are expendable and just an afterthought). Them that got shall get, them that not shall loose. Oh, wait a minute! Doesn't the Bible say those very words? Guess God IS a right-wing schmuck. You can keep him, "Captain". I'll stick with the Morning Star, he seems more pleasant.

And I mean read the actual passages, not the stacks of modern day apologetics that are designed to assure you that Jesus didn't really mean what he said about having money.

I always thought that Satan got a rough deal. He attempted to overthrow a sadistic, megalomaniacal, genocidal, egotistical dictator, despite having it pretty sweet by being his right hand man. He gets sent to hell as punishment, where he conspires to help the humans out of their unknowing slavery to this same dictator.
And everyone thinks he's the bad guy?
I mean I know it's all a myth, but if I believe any of this at some point in the future for whatever crazy reason I could never be Christian, I'm on Satan's side.
The worst part is god supposedly wrote the bible, so it's biased towards him and he still looks like the complete jerk
