[Atheist article discussion]
What in the world is going on here? Who put the part about Christians "cherry-picking" the Bible in there? And how about that nonsense about Christians "killing those who try to convert you, stoning homosexuals" etc.? I don't believe the Bible says anything about beheading people of other religions. I think we've confused it with Islam.

Excuse me, do you care to tell me how Jesus forgave a woman that, literarilly, was going to be stoned for adultery?, isn't it because it's stablished in Leviticus where, by chance, there was another one in which they applied the same punishment to homosexuals, rebelling children........?, can you explain to me what does it mean Inquisition or MacArthism, or the Crusades mottoes then?. No, not Islam(by the way, stoning is only practiced in Iran)
Another example of a Fundie who hasn't bothered to read his Bible.
He is right that the Bible doesn't say persons of other religions should be beheaded. It says they should be shunned, and killed in some situations, but the Bible allows you to kill them in a variety of ways.

Deuteronomy 13:6-10 makes it clear that non-believers are to be stoned to death.
Leviticus 20:13 merely says that "men who lie with men as with a woman" are to be killed. It is non-specific about method.
Clearly, Islam doesn't have a monopoly on blood-thirsty religions.
He's right. The Bible doesn't call for stoning homosexuals - just killing them (Lev. 20:13). Stoning is reserved for really bad stuff, like lying to your husband-to-be about your virginity (Deut. 22:13-21), helping your husband in a fight by grabbing his opponent’s testicles (Deut. 25:11-12) raping a betrothed virgin (Deut. 22:23-25) disobeying your parents (Deut. 21:18-21) working on the Sabbath (Num. 15:32-36) allowing your vicious ox to gore someone to death (Ex. 21:29) or having sex with your mother-in-law (Lev. 20:14).
That's why fundamentalist Christians are so tolerant of gays while condemning stuff like working on the sabbath and sassing your parents. Otherwise, people might accuse them of cherry-picking the Bible, wouldn't they? [/sarcasm]
Confused?
