the problem with a Democracy is that everyone has an equal say (even homosexuals and Planned Parenthood).
Democracy may be the best we have now, but it corrupts Gods word.

Government and religion should be kept far apart.
While our democracy is far from perfect, it's much better than any theocracy. If you're so opposed to other people being treated like human beings (OH NOES!!), then you should move to certain Middle-Eastern countries or an uninhabited island.
Refreshing honesty, really. Fundies don't like to say out loud that they have a problem with democracy, as that makes them sound like anti-American nutjobs. They try their best to shoe-horn democracy into the Bible, somehow. This guy, at least, is stating an honest truth - democracy is completely contrary to any Biblical concepts of government.
And what´s the problem?, do you think better than those people for the mere fact of saying Jesus all the time?, do you think you have more rights than them?. Isn´t it a worse corruption of God´s word?
The problem with Democracy? There is no problem with Democracy. If you don't like the fact that everyone has an equal say, move to Iran where you won't have an equal say. If Democracy corrupts the word of your god, then your god is a fascist and not worthy of worship.

It's the best we've had, ever, mostly because it's not about religion
Sooooo, IF there were a theocracy, which flavor of Christianity would be in charge?
Yes, I know, there's a lot of them to consider. I'll wait.
Christianity in a nutshell. He's completely right, of course. Everywhere they go, christians subvert the native culture and try to take over it so they can persecute everyone who doesn't join the herd-think. Example: South Korea.
and one more time, everyone join in...
the USA is NOT a democracy and never has been.
the pledge was changed in the 1950s to include God during the communist scare era.
Gods word is uncorruptable or he is a poor God.
Companies and organizations don't get an equal say in a democracy.
The Bible barely mentions homosexuality or contraceptives. It does mention helping the poor, respecting the government, and paying your taxes.
