[In response to: Masons and Freemasons are like the government, performing community services without God.]
I've come to the understanding from many credible sources that the Masons are deeply involved with many/all world governments and the UN (yet while themselves remaining hidden) from behind he scenes... this analogy of yours just might mean more than what you might have thought!

Ooooh, credible sources! I take it that these would include the likes of JesusIsSaviour.com, HenryMakow.com, AboveTopSecret.com, Infowars, Dan Brown novels, Jack Chick tracts and two minute YouTube videos that have got scary music playing in the background in them, right?
"Credible Sources" in this instance meaning Alex Jones and multiple conspiracy websites.
I disagree with the first statement, though, because the Freemasons require all members to express a belief in a god, though I think that's about as far as it goes.
Echoing what Doubting Thomas said, the Freemasons/Masons must believe in a God in order to join. They just don't have to believe the Rapture Ready Republican Jesus to join.
Also, in the United States, many of our founding fathers were Masons themselves, and if you ever visited our nation's capitol, many of the landmarks there have references to Freemasonry or Masonry.
Lastly, the Freemasons and Masons are always at each Presidential Inauguration to help in the procession of the event. This tradition goes back to the very first Presidential Inauguration of George Washington, a Mason himself.
The problem is that conspiracy theorists only ever read stuff from other conspiracy theorists. And as every CTer worth his or her salt "knows", the Freemasons are an ultra-super-secret organization, only working in the shadows and planning to take over the world.
When they somehow stumble upon the fact that the Masons are quite out in the open, they have hard to work to make it fit into their worldview.
My pet conspiracy theorist was deeply shocked when he saw the name of the local lodge on the door panel of a business building a few months ago...
So you've come to understand that a charitable men's social club actually runs the world? You'll believe anything, rail fan. How about the Knights of Columbus? The Oddfellows? The Sons of the Desert? And if they're so all powerful, why are you still alive?
What a loser!
Masonry is just a club for old men to get together, drink, and talk with each other. Why are conspiracy nuts so obsessed with them? I can understand wealthy families and more elite groups like the Bilderbergs being included in their ramblings, but why do the Freemasons always draw such ire?
Why worry? There's not long to go now! First Christmas day, then ... chocks away! Of course, that'll mean the end of an engaging hobby for some. A lifelong passion for flying and death all gone in a few moments. Still, you can't win them all. And after all, think on the bright side, you will at least be dead.
Confused?
