If there is no God, and pleasure is the only thing that makes your life worth living, you live for pleasure. If you live for pleasure, you idolize pleasure. If you idolize pleasure, it is only reasonable to ask why you shouldn't do things that give you pleasure. You could see prostitutes. A lot of pleasure, presumably. Illegal, but hey, somebody will always pay prostitutes. You could drive your car 150mph. Illegal? Yes, but if the street is clear, no harm done. You could smoke a big fat joint. Illegal? Yes (depending on where you live), but hey, it's for medicial purposes. You could work really hard and hobnob with the big shots. Never mind that you may have to turn into a back-stabbing, lying, cheating SOB. Finally, you could rape a woman or kill a homeless person. Pleasurable? not for me, but maybe for some people.

You see. Morals are no good unless they are absolute. Life for pleasure is not worth living. I have sought pleasure a lot and was eventually disappointed. The search for pleasure or joy is a search for God. Nothing and nobody else can satisfy lastingly.
