[On why a woman's right to an abortion forces beliefs onto him]
It is forcing the non phisical beleifs on me by saying you won't change what I wish to change.

From what I can make out of this rambling lunatic, I don't get what he is trying to say....
Because people won't change what he wants changed we are forcing things upon him? Isn't there this great solution for abortion haters called "If you don't like it, don't do it"? This golden rule is to be applied to almost all those things that are legal but you are morally opposed to.
non physical beliefs? As opposed to physical beliefs?
Let's see if I can undersand this. Is he saying
"I believe I can rule you, and when you prove I'm wrong, I have to change my beliefs" ?
It's the only way I can see some sense there. But changing his beliefs when reality shows them wrong is not very common with those fundies...
I'm not forcing you to believe anything. I support your right not to have an abortion. In fact, you're free to believe whatever twaddle you wish. I imagine that as a bible-believing Xian you believe in talking serpents, flying rolls that burn houses, resurrection of the dead and talking, burning bushes.
If your wife or girlfriend gets pregnant, you have a right to not believe it.
What are "non phisical beleifs?" Are physical beliefs those which can be put in a box or dropped on one's toes?
Personally, I know alot of quotes have gotten the coveted "Fundamentalism in a nutshell" award, but if I had to pick only one quote and say it deserved it more than any other quote, I would pick this one.
Unless, of course, someone says something even more idiotic in the future.
Steve, go to the blackboard and write this until you get it or until the heat death of the universe, whichever comes first:
Other people do not exist to do my bidding.
Other people do not exist to do my bidding.
Other people do not exist to do my bidding.
Other people do not exist to do my bidding.
Other people do not exist to do my bidding.
Steve, it was Mahatma Gandhi who said, "Be the change you wish to see in the world."
I'd just like to say he was the product of a different time. I'd imagine if he'd read this, he would've said
STFU N00b! B da change!
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
