(Imagine yourself to be an Egyptian, and these people come in and start terrorizing your town and causing all sorts of horrible things to happen, would YOU mark your door? If so would it have been out of fear, or because you honestly believed their claims?)
1)If a certain person does evil things, such as murder, ect, you have lost the right to live in my eyes. if an entire race is that way, it's the same. Without religion, there is no right or wrong. It's all based on how we see things. As you see it as wrong, I don't, making this pointless to debate. God wouldn't need to prove his reasons because 1) If he is God, he knows and is right. 2) That was not the point of the story, 3) It was common knowledge what they did back then.

So why didn't God wipe out the Isrealites? Oh, wait, that's right, because it's OK when he does it. Double think rears its head again.
Societal ethics are based on what a society finds works. That may be religion, but it equally may not. We didn't find slavery unacceptable or inter-racial marriage acceptable by what the Bible said about them.
Personal ethics are based on what works for an individual, which, of course, includes how those ethics allow that individual to interact with his/her society. This, too, may or may not involve religion.
I, for one, hope that christianity continues, unabated, if only to prevent these sociopaths from acting out their twisted little fantasies without the restraining hand of "god".
"Without religion, there is no right or wrong"
Try the Golden rule, which in my mind seems morally superior to a book that advocates rape, child murder, terrorism, and slavery.
Slightly off-topic: does anyone know what the heck it is about Naruto? I mean, I thought it was just an anime show about some guy goofing off at ninja school, but from some of the posts we get around here, it's a giant magnet for batshit.

Do we have to explain this to you a 39,238,157th time?
"If a certain person does evil things, such as murder, ect, you have lost the right to live in my eyes."
I recently read an article where the guy counted up satan and god's death tolls. The result? Satan has 10, which were really an assist from god. And the big man? 2,038,334.
And you never answered the question.
"If a certain person does evil things, such as murder, ect, you have lost the right to live in my eyes. if an entire race is that way, it's the same. "
Well, I've never been in favor of the death penalty. I think that "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth" is a pretty poor justice system because two wrongs don't make a right. But I see where you are coming from. If a murderer is killed, that's still wrong, but there is some basic aspect of fairness there. And if killing a murderer is the only effective way of keeping the murderer from hurting more people, I can understand that. Especially in the days of the Old Testament, where the Jews didn't exactly have the option of giving someone a lifetime sentence in prison. So, although I disagree, I can kind of see your point that an individual who kills has forfeited his own right to life . . .
Wait . . .
If an entire race is that way? An entire race ?
What.
WHAT?
There is no such thing as an "entire race" of murderers? There has never been such a thing. Has every individual in that race killed someone? Really? Even the children? I . . . no . . . this is wrong. People are individuals. There are people within a race who do bad things, but that doesn't make that entire race of human beings evil and deserving of death. The very idea is ludicrous. I mean, taken to its extreme, it advocates genocide . . .
. . . wait, we're talking about the Bible. That contains plenty of accounts of genocide.
Then God's people lost their right to live. On several occasions they killed every man, woman and child of rivaling groups, sometimes they spared the women and children and kept them as slaves. To me this is wrong, but as you apparently see these particular murders as good, then you're absolutely right; there's no point debating the issue.
"Without religion, there is no right or wrong."
Horseshit. Religion has brought us death and oppression. People can have empathy without religion or god.
One does not need religion nor god to be good
One does not need be good to have religion or god.
Confused?
