Evolution makes Jesus's death and resurrection a lie... it's incompatible with Christianity.
The teaching of Evolution has done nothing to make our country better... it has just brought us death and teaches our children they have no purpose. Thanks for nothing.

Evolution makes Jesus's death and resurrection a lie.
How? It would only make it a lie if it stated and proved that it never happened.
The teaching of Evolution has done nothing to make our country better.
Medicine.
it has just brought us death
People didn't die before evolution was thaught?
and teaches our children they have no purpose.
Life has whatever purpose you attach to it. Make your own future instead of hoping for someone to come along and do your work.
It is quite possible to believe both in evolution and the death and ressurection of Jesus Christ. The two are not mutually exclusive, like, say, believing in a fundie's crap and not being an idiot.
"Evolution makes Jesus's death and resurrection a lie"
How, exactly?
"it's incompatible with Christianity."
Might need to tell that to the majority of Christians who seem to have no problem with the findings of science.
"The teaching of Evolution has done nothing to make our country better"
Except for, you know, educate the next generation of biologists and medical doctors who are going to be making the disocoveries that improve everyone's quality of life.
"it has just brought us death and teaches our children they have no purpose."
I really hate to ask how it has brought us "death" and how it teaches our children that they "have no purpose".
No, common sense and the COMPLETE and TOTAL lack of evidence to support the death and resurrection make that a lie, Evolution has nothing at ALL to do with it. And even if some man named Jesus DID die and come back, Evolution STILL wouldn't have a thing to do with it any more than jump-starting someones heart with cardio paddles does.
I'm going to have to give this poster a high five. No, that's not the mutual hand-slapping gesture, but the rating I'm giving him.
I would deconstruct his Bizarro rant point by point, but I see that several others already have done a fine job with that; thank you all. The only thing left to add is simply that this poster is a pathetic and empty tool.

dummocrat believes that evolution is incompatible with Christianity. Evolution has evidence, Christianity (at least the important tenants, God and the substitutionary sacrifice) has none. So logically he should give up one or the other. Makes more sense to give up the one without the evidence. eh?
"Evolution makes Jesus's death and resurrection a lie..."
No, there are plenty of other reasons to know Jesus' resurrection to be a lie, but the ToE has nothing to do with Jesus.
"it's incompatible with Christianity."
If one believes the Bible to be the word of "God" or inspired by "God," then, yes, that is true.
"The teaching of Evolution has done nothing to make our country better..."
Nothing but advances in modern medicine and agriculture, you know, saving your life and providing wholesome, affordable food.
Put your money where your big, fat, flappin' mouth is. Eschew all modern medical treatments and all food, as all food available these days has been improved by knowledge derived from the ToE.
"it has just brought us death and teaches our children they have no purpose."
No, you teach that the ToE teaches that humans have no purpose. People are not imbued with a purpose by a supernatural creator. Each person is responsible for creating their own purpose; their "meaning for life" is entirely their own construction.
"Thanks for nothing."
If there was a way I could assure that you would in no way benefit from the ToE I would gladly do it.
It is a lie.
Christianity IS incompatible with reality.
There has always been death, your god seems to get a big kick out of in fact.
If the only way you believe that you have a purpose in life is to idle away the time waiting for the second coming of a being who was at best a guy who wasted his own life for thirty years only to claim he was the son of god and get killed then maybe you need to re-examine your life. Maybe you need a dose of reality so that your existance doesn't consist of telling others how wrong and stupid they are for believing reality over a myth. Thanks for proving evolution by thinking like a neanderthal.
Evolution makes Jesus's death and resurrection a lie... it's incompatible with Christianity.
Funny, then, how so many people manage to believe both. I did for quite some time ... and it wasn't evolution that made me decide the second part was wrong.
Evolution makes Jesus's death and resurrection a lie... it's incompatible with Christianity.
This comes up regularly in creationist claims. Here is how it works.
Some fundie religions claim there is an allegorical connection between Adam and Jesus.
This connection somehow makes Jesus death on the cross effective at saving people.
IF evolution is true, then Adam didn't exist. If Adam didn't exist, then the
Adam-and Jesus allegory breaks down. If the allegory breaks down
the fundie has wasted all the time money and emotional torture he has
invested in his religion, therefore evolution can't be true.
Evolution makes Jesus's death and resurrection a lie... it's incompatible with Christianity.
No, resurrection would be impossible even if evolution were disproven tomorrow.
The teaching of Evolution has done nothing to make our country better...
...Except for food, medicine, and a better understanding of the world around us.
it has just brought us death...
People always have died, and always will die. Evolution, however, ushered in advances in agriculture and medicine that help people put off their deaths a bit longer.
...and teaches our children they have no purpose.
You can't teach someone that (s)he has no purpose. Everybody chooses a purpose in life. Telling kids "you have no purpose" will not stop them from finding a purpose in life.
Everyone chooses a purpose in life, including you. Your chosen purpose is to do whatever your pastor or priest tells you that God wants you to do.
Thanks for nothing.
I really wish there was a way to deprive you of the benefits of evolution.
Here's a start: No modern medicine. Never. You can only use medicine practiced before Darwin's time.
Well, teaching of evolution has brought advances in medicine and science that enable you, among other things, to type in this computer. And evolution contradicts only the stupid stuff where a speaking serpent talks or where a woman is a man´s rib. It does not contradict the resurrection of Jesus.
I'm pretty sure Jesus' death has nothing to do with evolution.
The only things evolution disproves in the bible are the creation myth and how old the universe is.
You guys should realize that this was a book written by bronze-age goatherders, not God.
Sure, the evolution of humans have not progressed much during the very few years that the US of A has been around. It takes much longer than that for any perceivable change to happen. We might be a bit taller on average, live a little longer (but that's probably mostly due to better living conditions).
How did the evolution bring death? It's a process of natural selection and adaptation to the changing environments.
By the way, the selection occurs at mating seasons. It's not the stronger killing the weaker, but the most adaptable males mating with more females than the rest, and the most adaptable females actually giving birth to their offspring. Get it?
Evolution has nothing to do with specific individuals, therefore it has nothing to do with the birth, death, or resurrection of Jesus either.
We have the purpose of making this life as fruitful, as interesting and as pleasurable as possible, for ourselves, our family, friends and neighbors. Basically what Jesus said, in that book of yours.
Er, actually they're not at all incompatible, even if you take genesis mostly literally. After all, 'day' could mean just about anything to 'God' in terms of time. Just sayin'
Christianity, at least in the fundie sense, is incompatible with common sense.
And what "death" has Evolution brought? Compared to the countless deaths perpetuated in the name of religion, for instance?
Confused?
