Science has hardly cured a single thing to date....what makes you think they're going to start now?

I would list all the things that science has, in fact, cured to date, but I just don't have the next 4 years free to type it out.
Hmmm
I think you should review your statement their fundie you'll find that your way way way way off target YOU silly fundie.
.Science has saved alot more life's than god blood transfusions heart transplants heart bypass .Xrays MRI EKG Cat scans even the defibrillator machine none of these machine wear invented by a priest or the result of holy men praying ,They where not visions or gifts form the spirits or gifts form angels the plans or schematics were not found in ancient scrolls or on old tablets.. .
They were the result of science and scientist being scientist ,Studies human needs human ideas mans inventions man ideas that he can solve this problem he can understand he environment and make changes for the better . no deities no gods or saints ..Or as my favorite Philosopher Scientist once said
If you want to save your child from polio, you can pray or you can inoculate....Try science. [Carl Sagan, The Demon-Haunted World,
Well, as long as we're telling fairy tales....
Once upon a time, I had a sinus infection. I went to a man who studied science for ten years so that people would have to call him "doctor." He gave me some pills made by other men who studied science for many years. I took the pills. My sinus infection went away, and I lived happily ever after. The end.
While it is true many infectious diseases were beginning to decline
from the 1940's onwards due to better nutrition and hygiene in the West, there were still always going to be people who, through genetic chance, lacked the ability to naturally fend off certain microbes.Vaccinations simply finished the job by inferring immunity to those so predisposed.
The troll-laddie is so, y'know, FLAT?!
Science has caused some diseases, to be sure...a prime example would be this blight of the information age, where various fucktards attempt to pass themselves off as intelligent, or even intelligible, human beings.
New scientific breakthrough!
FUNDIE-B-GON!! An aerosol consisting of ether, amyl, and thorazine, specifically blended to send the neighborhood bibblepests into a semi-catatonic state, and allows them to reflect upon the lifelong damage caused by their own personal brainwashing....
And for supersport, a Super-Snort! Two deep nose hits...one left...one right...there y'go...let us know how it works out, mmkay?
Of course not. That's why large numbers of people still die of diseases like malaria, bubonic plague, scarlet fever, or yellow fever. Except, wait a minute, they don't! Doctors and scientists found a way to treat all of these, and many other diseases as well. People can still get them, yes. I seem to remember that the Bubonic Plague in particular has a nasty habit of coming back to play every now and again. But thanks to science, we understand these diseases and can treat them. So there.
To be fair, polio and smallpox aren't cureable, medical science has made them preventable.
That being said, most bacterial disease are now treatable with a high cure rate. Stupidity, though sometimes treatable, remains chronic.
John -- Not "drops dead in their sleep," they are taken by God.
His familys probably riddled with health problems if theyre all like that. But they probably dont KNOW this. After all, theyre just "being tested" everytime it happens, and "god decided it was time" when its something that killsem.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
