[You want Biblical scholars to sanitize YOUR operating table, or do you want scientifically trained medical personnel to do it?"]
If you were any kind of Biblical scholar, you would know that no true Biblical scholar would reccommend that anyone allow themselves to be found on an operating table. The Lord gave us solutions to our health issues, none of which includes surgery, and cautioned us not to turn to the ways of men.

Yeah. God has many "solutions" to health problems, most of which include important steps like killing goats and rams and sprinkling their blood around your house seven times. That ought to do it! [/sarcasm]
You have to be one major fucktard to ignore medical science because the bible does not mention it.
Good, from now on, whenever you are seriously ill, you eschew all forms of modern medicine and just heal your sorry butt with prayer. I'm sure you won't do it because you're a hypocritic asshat, but you would if you actually trusted in God.
I for for potential children you might have.
If you don't have any, though, then feel free to continue on your stupid, misguided path.
Dear E-S,
Have you ever been to a dentist? Have you every consulted any kind of physician for any reason? If you answer "yes" to either of these questions, then you are a liar!
BTW: I hope you don't have any children, because with you as a parent, they wouldn't have a snowballs chance in hell of reaching age five.
Thank you, once again, for pointing out the dangers of fundamentalism.
And we look down on Jehova's Witnesses for not allowing blood transfusion. These people are a lot worse.
Oh, and Redhunter: Perfect reply. Impressive.
Well, let's just hope this guy never gets appendicitis, or pancreanitis, or cancer, or....
You do realize that by taking the stance of "no surgery ever," you are effectively lowering your average expected lifespan by 20 years. Aproximately 70% of all human beings require some form of surgery to correct a health problem before they die... (Got that statistic from my Uncle Rob, who is a thorasic surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic.)
If modern medicine is contradictory to the Bible, why are there so many Catholic, Methodist, and Lutheran hospitals?
Of course, God gave in the OT instructions that include no surgery, and communication skills that don´t mention computers either. Can´t you realise that God didn´t mention 90% of the things you use in your everyday life?. Don´t turn to the way of men, pick and choose and live like a caveman for 80 years though.
If I hadn't had surgery 2 1/2 years ago, I'd be dead right now. So Editor-Surveyer, from the bottom of my heart, fuck you with a stick sideways.

Yet another guy reading from the Authorized "Pull-It-Out-of-Your-Ass" Version of the Bible. Even Jehovah's Witnesses have given up objections to most medical procedures, as long as they don't involve transfusions, which they apparently equate with the kosher prohibition against eating blood.
So what the hell is the point in praying for anything if you're just going to ignore the solutions presented to you? Who are you to say those solutions aren't handed to you by God? Why does everything have to be 'miraculous' to you people?
You're drowning. You pray to God to save you. Some guy throws you a liferaft. Personally, I'd call that an answer to prayer. But you? Nah, you'd tell him to bugger off and leave you alone because 'God' was going to save you. Whatever the hell that even means to you morons.
And just for the record, if God was so against the use of medicine and surgery, why there were so many in his times and among his disciples, being St Luke one of them?
Confused?
