Why are you making it hard for yourself to belive that Jesus did die on a cross and rose again from the dead three days later.

Because death isn't merely the body "stopping" but a series of reactions occurring that, to reverse, would be akin to uncooking an egg. Say miracle all you want, it doesn't make it any easier to believe.
Because he's the last person to do that, but was preceeded by about 14 others?
When 14 mythical figures have pulled the same miracle (being nailed to something, tortured, dying then coming back three years later) the miracles gettin' old. The history of Jesus is from older histories, from other faits and cultures.
Christianity is a gathering, tranlating, editing, revising (and doing all of those badly) and rewritting of other religions, cultures and myths.

We Atheists aren't the ones fapping to "Passion of the Christ".
But then, even 'torture porn' films such as the "Saw" & "Hostel" series aren't even remotely sexually arousing, thus they don't* get us hard. [/Finbarr Saunders]
*- And if such films do ...

I read the bible.
I had questions.
No one around me even really wanted to answer them. They’d rather that I just sat back, shut up, and didn’t think about things.
Like, zombies of the Saints rose from their graves when Jesus died. They hung out at their graves for three days, then when Jesus rose again, they walked through the city, putting the frighteners on people.
Why is that not in every letter Pilate sent back to Rome? “Zombies! Send help! Send wizards! Or priests!”
Why isn’t that in all the gospels? Seems an important detail.
Why didn’t Paul mention this?
Confused?
