[The "electric universe" is not the same as electricity.]
LOL.
In fact it is.
Your dichotomy is absurd and indicates a crank worldview.
Why do you think electricity is a crackpot theory?
Why do you think electrons are magic?
Because the atheist deity called "Gravitation" can't account for them?
Just because gravitation [the atheist god] can't explain electromagnetism doesn't mean electromagnetism is magic.

Oh, he's one of these guys
Electric Universe theorists are delightfully daft. For those who don't know, they're basically modern-day adherents of Immanuel Velikovsky's theories of catastrophism, who also believe that virtually everything that happens anywhere ever in the universe, from the surface temperature of Venus to the formation of craters on the moon, can be attributed to electromagnetic discharges and plasma effects.

"the atheist deity called "Gravitation"
A question, Ignorance of Suza:

Whilst the manga/light novel/anime "Gravitation" is a fun read/watch, What the fuck does this have to do with the point you're trying to make?!
--EDIT--
Ah, I see someone was in b4 me. Great minds think alike eh, Mr. Creazil?!
b^_^d
Someone denies gravity, claiming the earth is a big magnet and we're tiny magnets. By extension, black holes do not exist because Stephen Hawking Said So.
In short, we're in Fundie Whackoland
Hope that clears it up, DevilsChaplain.
@Draken
Someone denies gravity, claiming the earth is a big magnet and we're tiny magnets.
Then I should be able to levitate by standing on my head, since similar poles repel.
Ah, when the mentally ill have internet privileges. :)
Also, atheists don't have any deities that they worship...you know, 'cuz they're "a-theists".
@Horus IX;
I concur. Once, I sought to intelligently refute the Fundy garbage on this site. Now, I treat it as the Necronomicon--don't read it too often, or you'll go mad.
Oddly enough, if it weren't for him calling gravitation the atheist god, this would actually be a good argument, that supports our worldview of "stop using a god of the gaps," which is what he's essentially accusing this guy of doing.
I have spent over 6 years in higher education learning everything about electrons and their effects and properties...all I can say to this post is; "WTF?!?!?"
This is word salad to me...makes NO sense.
Is this stupid fuck for real?! Gravity and electricity are two distinct phenomena for which we have perfectly valid explanations. No one in their right minds think of them as magic or linked.
I wouldn't be surprised if this was a Poe taking the piss out of Christian Forums.
Edit: Ah, yes. The Electric Universe fuckwits. I'm familiar with them and their idiotic beliefs. Honestly, how can anyone still claim that comet tails are an electrical phenomenon when we've actually flown to a comet, taken samples back, along with a mountain of data corroborating the scientific explanation for the tail all along.
I actually enjoyed Gravitation for the most part. The bit about Yuki's past was a bit much though.
Oh gawd, Kazuhiko Inoue's voice for Yuki, though. :3
Yes.
[the atheist god]
lol
seriously?
You know, the very phrase "the atheist god" is a contradiction in terms. This is further compounded by the fact that gravitation is not a god any more than a bottle of water is. Gravitation is just a natural property of this universe, and we've developed a theory to describe why it does what it does and how to predict its effects.
Wait. Wut? Gravitation is an atheist deity? That's funny, since the word 'atheist' comes from the word 'atheos' which is Greek for 'without god'. So... you're wrong.
@Mr. Creazil: Hells yeah. Even though Yuki was gay, I didn't care! I loved him in all his lovely bishi-ness!
@Brendan Rizzo
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have a new Cassiterides on our hands.
And as with Casshite rides, this n00b (in every sense of the word) is deserving of his new screename: Ignorances of Suza.
>:D
Do you read that manga too? /hopefuleeyes.
Damn, Murakami's doing good if people are worshiping her manga as a deity.
EDIT: Damn, there were several people in before me.
"Why do you think electricity is a crackpot theory?"
Never mind the likes of Michael Faraday, Alessandro Volta, Alexander Graham Bell and Guglielmo Marconi. What Nikola Tesla could do, would make you cry blood and crap your guts out in pure terror, Ignorances of Susa. He was decades, nay, centuries ahead of his time.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
