"Science is the sacred Golden Calf. The Atheists are essentially like the Borg"
Stop it, you're turning Prof. Kevin Warwick on.
As the UK's most eminent expert on Cybernetics, he makes no secret of the fact that - whenever he watches certain "Star Trek" episodes - he roots for the Borg.
And to reiterate what Mister Spak so succinctly says - and right from the start no less - so he wins this thread (a shiny new internet is on it's way to you!):
Computer: 'Who said "Logic is the cement of our civilisation, with which we ascend from chaos, using reason as our guide"?'
Spock (Leonard Nimoy): 'T'Plana Hath, Matron of Vulcan Philosophy.'
Computer: 'Correct.'
...
Computer: 'What is Kiri-Kin-Tha's First Law of Metaphysics?'
Spock: '"Nothing unreal exists".'
Computer: 'Correct.'
-"Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home"
So, 'Logic is the antithesis of experience. The truth and reality of God is something that can only be experienced', you say? The Vulcans abandoned religion as illogical.
...but if you're so insistent that 'Atheism is a religion', then I'm suuuuuure you'll be the first to open your wallet in paying the back-taxes owed to us; billions, backdated & with interest. And if you & your ilk are equally soooooo sure that yours isn't a religion, but 'a personal relationship with Jesus', then...
(*Gets out of pocket mobile phone*)
...you want to make that call to the IRS, re. the untold billions, if not trillions, you lot owe in back-taxes, or shall I...?! >:D
'Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's as your J-boy said. Which is 'Truth', as you lot are so insistent in saying; the reality of your 'God's Word' - Romans 13:1-7 - is the antithesis of what we Atheists do: dismiss said 'God' as not logical, is it not...?!
Enjoy your paradox.
Moral: We Atheists have it all figured out (even the so-called 'Mystery' of the Bible). It's what's called 'Being Logical', and is precisely why Atheism is now the superior 'religion'; otherwise you can throw away one of the Sacred Cows of Atheism for a start, that computer of yours, because the original Digital Computer - relying on 'Logic States' - and it's development right up to what we have today, is as a result of Alan Turing: and the very fact he was an Atheist is the least of your problems. He was gay too.
Enjoy your paradox II.
