[Hillary pledges to expand gay rights]
I never understand upsetting 50 percent to lure 3 percent. But then, it's not really about homosexuals. It's about silencing the Christians.

SILENCE, vile Christian!
I'm all for that
Okay, so we're upsetting 50 percent (that must be the anti-gay bigots) to lure 3 percent (which is apparently the gays). So what about the other 47%? Wouldn't that be straight people who are pro gay rights? So what we have is 50% pro and 50% con.
I think a more accurate comment would be "I never understand upsetting 50 percent to lure 50 percent." Oh really? You don't?
And that's assuming that these numbers are accurate (which they aren't).
Aw. I love all the responses that say, 'read the bible so you'll know you're supposed to hate and repress them queers! Keep 'em in the closet!' God, they act like treating gay people like people will ruin America. Nice. Christian loooove.
And Hilary is a Christian, anyway, people. Jeez...
It's about silencing the Christians.
Funny, it's the fundie christians that are the loudest of the bunch.
The rights of the minority shall not to be infringed by the whim of the majority.
We're a republic, we elect representatives to ensure everyone has rights, even if the majority doesn't want them to.
But then, it's not really about homosexuals. It's about silencing the Christians.
Yeah. Everything revolves around ME!
Fuck you and the persecution complex you rode in on. The percentage of gay people is 10%, not 3%, and the percentage of people who support gay rights whether they're gay or not is larger than that. Being pro-gay isn't going to hurt Clinton, not that she still has a chance, because all the bigoted twatwaffles are people who wouldn't vote for her ANYWAY.
"It's about silencing the Christians."
The world doesn't revolve around you.
"I never understand upsetting 50 percent to lure 3 percent."
Significantly less than 50%, significantly more than 3%.
No, it's all about equality, having many gay friends and being bisexual myself, I don't see any of us going around opressing you people.
No, it's about silencing Christian FUNDAMENTALISTS. Big difference. There are religious organizations (some Presbyterians, some Methodists, some Episcopalians, Unitarian Universalists and some Jewish congregations, Pagans and Wiccans etc>) that would be pleased as punch to be able to perform weddings for their gay congregants.
This fight is about an influential, wealthy, vocal, protected minority (1-2%) that spews hatred (Fundamentalists) being given precedence over a minority (9-10%) that is demanding the same rights enjoyed by everyone else (The LGBT community).
It must feel good to pretend you're being persecuted. Why else do christians claim it? It is extremely far from reality, so along with so much else, you just make it up to fit what you want it to be.
What a convenient way to live.
Yes, because the entire world revolves around you. Everything anyone does is done with the sole purpose of heaping indignities upon you.
You wouldn't know persecution if it pimp-slapped you.
I never understand upsetting 50 percent to lure 3 percent.
I never understand the mindset of railing, ranting and raving over something that has absolutely, positively NOTHING to do with you. Seriously, is your faith so weak that NOT being able to spread lies and vitriol about a group willy-nilly will cause it to collapse into ash? Surely God must have bigger things on his radar...pedophiles, murderers, thieves...people who actually love each other and are willing to devote themselves to each other seriously rank higher than them? And this thought process makes sense to these people?
Opinions on gay people's private lives are divided about equally in half in this country. Half the people have a brain, the other half are bigoted fucktards. (Outside the bedroom of course, 90% think gay people should have the same rights as everyone else. So long as they don't *gasp* have relationships, America is okay with gay)
Maybe Clinton isn't pacifying the 3%, but rather realizing that no self-respecting liberal would touch a ballot if she said anything else. It is the PRIMARY still, and that means nobody but McCain has to placate the teeming masses of idiots over thar.
If two men love each other, in what way does this need to influence you? You'll still be in your 'lovely soapy bubble' with God, and they'll still be 'tormented for their crimes' in Hell below, so shut yer pizza slot and live and let live.
You have your marriage. Let us have ours.
(Using the posters made up percentages)
No, it's a case of 50% being assholes and not giving 3% their natural human rights.
You do know that homosexuals aren't the only people for allowing gay marriage?
Most level headed, free thinking people are.
Because what Hillary really wanted was to persecute a group that she is known to belong to. Riiight.
Of course, Democrats can't be Christians, just like Republicans can't be gay...
"It's about silencing the Christians."
No, we've learned nothing we do will stop your bitching, and we've decided to just laugh at the stupidity now.
Why would Human Rights silence Christians? Jesus would probably agree, if he lived today, and if he existed.
Who are the 50 percent that are getting upset? Do you really have that many homophobes?
Confused?
