Honestly, I would be very surprised if more than one out of every hundred people are truly saved and on their way to Heaven! Consider the billion people in China who know not the Lord Jesus Christ! Consider the countless hundreds of millions of Arabs (Islamic Muslims) who worship Allah and the prophet Mohammed. Consider the billion Catholics around the world that worship Mary and are trying to earn their way into Heaven through the keeping of the Seven-Sacraments and good works. On and on, religion and more religion! Countless billions of people are trusting in their religion to save them instead of the Lord Jesus Christ. Surely, nine out of ten people in this wicked world are bound for a Godless, eternal hell. I have no doubts whatsoever that 90% of the people in this world are going to Hell. Why? For one simple reason friend, they do not have the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior--Their sins have not been forgiven. We estimated that 232,876 humans die every day on average. 232,876 minus 10 % equals 209,588 people that perish into hell fire and destruction every single day that passes. So roughly, 200,000 HUMANS PLUNGE INTO HELL FIRE EACH AND EVERY DAY! We also see that 23,287 people (10%) make it to Heaven each day on average.

"Allah" is the Arabic word for the God of Abraham - the same one worshiped by Christians and Jews. It's a contraction of al ilah - the (one) God. Arabic-speaking Christians say "Allah". The OT uses "Elohim", which is the plural of "Eloah". Jesus would have called him "Elah" (Aramaic). The similarity to "Allah" should be obvious. Bog (Russian), Dios (Spanish), Theos (Greek) and Dieu (French) are also words for God. Not everyone speaks English.

Muslims don't worship Muhammad.

Catholics don't worship Mary.

Catholics don't think they can earn their way into heaven by doing good works. They believe that good works are required in addition to faith. See James 2:24: "Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only". Protestants believe the same thing; they just fudge the definition of "true" faith to include good works.

This guy needs to expand his understanding beyond the nonsense he reads in Chick Tracts.

Wow. The entire webpage is FSTDT material.

First off, I love the way he defines Arabs as "Islamic Muslims" and then goes on to clarify that these Arabs/"Islamic Muslims" are people "who worship Allah and the prophet Mohammed." Because everyone know that all Muslims are Arabs and all Arabs are Muslims. And thanks for telling us that they are "Islamic Muslims" -- if you'd just said they were Muslims, I'd have never guessed that they might be Islamic. I might have thought you were talking about un-Islamic Muslims.

And this is pretty dodgy math. Look, I am one of those people who is genuinely awful at math. I remember being in tears when I was nine because I didn't understand long division. But even I am wondering how the hell he got these numbers here.

I've done something dangerous . . . I've decided to tackle some of Dave's math.

How does he figure out that 9 out of ten people are going to Hell, for a start? Okay, there are about 2 billion Christians in the world today. Dave estimates the world to have a population of around 6 billion people. (It's actually closer to 7 billion, but for the sake of argument and because I don't know when Dave wrote this, I'll use his estimate of 6 billion.)

As only Christians can get into Heaven according to Dave, let's figure out how many Christians there are in the world:

2 billion Christians / 6 billion people = 33% of the world population is Christian.

Dave obviously thinks that Catholics aren’t going to Heaven. A little over 1 billion people are Catholic. So if we presume that Christians who aren't Catholic go to Heaven:

2 billion Christians 1 billion Catholics = 1 billion non-Catholic Christians

1 billion non-Catholic Christians / 6 billion = 17% of the world population is Christian but not Catholic.

This would mean that around 17% of the world would get into Heaven. In the paragraph quoted here, he says that 10% of people get into Heaven. Fair enough, maybe he has additional criteria he's using to get that number.(I just wish he'd tell us what those were and how he arrived at that number if so.) However, at two other points on the same webpage, he says he thinks only 1% of people will actually get into Heaven.

The average life expectancy of a person is estimated to be around 70 years of age. With all the natural disasters, people smoking, the global aids epidemic, terrorism, drug overdoses, liquor related deaths, accidents, murders, war, et cetera. I’m sure the average life expectancy is much lower.
How are you sure? You know you can go check. I did. The average life expectancy is around 66 or 67 years. Not that much lower than 70.70 seems like a fair enough number to round off to.

Visit a cemetery sometime and you’ll be surprised how many people have died at a much younger age.
You are looking at those already dead! Hint: humans had a lower average life expectancy in the past. Also, we are talking about the average life expectancy. Because some people live to be much older than 70, you'd expect some people to die a lot younger than 70. Averages! Do you understand how they work?

Nevertheless, let’s suppose that the average person lives to be 70 years old. 6,000,000,000 divided by 70 equals 85,714,285. This means that 85,000,000 people, on average, die every year. If we divide 85,000,000 by 365 days in a year, this means that an average of 232,876 people are dying every day in this world.
Wait . . . what?!? WHY are we dividing the average life expectancy by the world population? How does that tell you how many people die in a year?

I decided to calculate the number myself, using the world's mortality rate instead of the average life expectancy. For every 1000 people in the world around 8 die each year. So:

8/1,000 = ?/6,000,000,000
1,000 x ? = 48,000,000,000
? = 48,000,000,000 / 1,000
? = 48,000,000

So that would mean around 48 million people die each year, not 85 million as Dave calculateed.

48,000,000 deaths per year / 365 days per year = 131,507 people dying each day.

Dave managed to calculate 232,876. Look, I don't expect our number to be exactly the same, but this is a difference of over a hundred thousand.

Since we're rounding the world population down to 6 billion, I wouldn't expect either of us to get a fully accurate result, so I decided to check how many deaths are actually estimated to occur each day. The actual number if 150,000.

I'm a bit rusty on this whole thing. Do the lost souls end up in Hell right away, or do they await Judgement day, and then end up in Hell?
Hell must be one seriously crowded place by now, if the lost souls end up there right away.

It feels a bit like timesaving, you can be as bas as you want to your fellow man, in complete opposition to what Jesus said (according to the Bible), but if you say on your deathbed that you are sorry, then you are saved. You can also be good and kind all your life, but if you don't accept Jesus, you go to Hell.

I'd take both into account, what you do AND what you say. But actions speaks louder than words, as the saying goes.
