The only absolute Truth of the universe:
'We're all gonna die.'
-Billy Sole (Sonny Landham), "Predator"
That only Predator is Death.
Capt. Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart): 'What you're about to do, Soran, is no different from when the Borg destroyed your world. They killed millions too.'
Dr. Tolian Soran (Malcolm McDowell): 'Nice try. You know there was a time that I wouldn't hurt a fly. Then the Borg came and they showed me that if there is one constant in this universe, it's death. Afterwards, I began to realise that it didn't matter. We're all going to die sometime. It's only a question of how and when. You will too, Captain. Don't you feel time gaining on you? It's like a predator; it's stalking you. Oh,you can try and outrun it with doctors, medicines, new technologies but in the end, time is going to hunt you down... and make the kill.'
Picard: 'It's our mortality that defines us, Soran. It's the truth of our existence.'
(later):
Picard: 'Someone once told me that time was a predator that stalked us all our lives. I rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey and reminds us to cherish every moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we've lived. After all Number One, we're only mortal.'
Cdr. W.T. Riker (Jonathan Frakes): 'Speak for yourself sir, I plan to live forever [/sarcasm].'

In both cases, seems that Sci-Fi has an infinitely greater understanding of how 'Truth' is absolutely defined. After all, when asked by Pontius Pilate 'What is Truth?', even Jesus himself couldn't reply. PROTIP: Gene Roddenberry - creator of "Star Trek" - was an Atheist.
