The evidence for the existence of God is in the fact that your hostility to the truth was prophesied about 2000 years ago.

Ah, but according to McNameless, "Evidence confirming an observation is evidence that the observation is wrong." Therefore, evidence for the existence of god is evidence that god doesn't exist.
:-D
Dear MH,
I am not hostile to the truth. I love it. I embrace it. However, I am hostile towards anyone who seeks to spread superstition around and call it 'truth' and command that I accept it as 'truth'.
Hmmm.. 2000 year old prophecies. I hope you are talking about Christian prophecies because they have a way of messing up the message.
Like Satan coming from hell every 1000 years to kill 75% of all things on earth. If we were to get the correct date for the last mass extinction we would be somewhere between 1990 and 2000 because Jesus was born a little before the year 0 which would make it the second great killingspree sponsored by God. And I can't remember any of it, does this mean the media managed to cover up 3 out of 4 people's deaths? And what happened to the people who survived? did they go to heaven? Does this mean I am in heaven now with all of you? Or are we in hell? that would mean that hell is exactly the same as the Earth. But we can't be in either heaven or hell because I'm not in terrible pains and there are still people kicking the old bucket. Please explain.
Are massive amounts of people growing ever more stupid in conjunction with growing religious trends? Or is it the other way around?
Why do I want to bang my head against a hard surface when I see humanity limited by dogmatic beliefs in such a way that it limits cognizence of reality and logic?
Use your fucking brain, please.
Well if we're going into prophesies:
Former CENTCOM commander General Anthony Zinni says of course our forces in Iraq have been too small from the start and the US military always knew it would need much larger forces to assert firm control of Iraq after an invasion.
"When I was commander of CENTCOM, we had a plan for an invasion of Iraq, and it had specific numbers in it. We wanted to go in there with 350,000 to 380,000 troops. You didn't need that many people to defeat the Republican Guard, but you needed them for the aftermath. We knew that we would find ourselves in a situation where we had completely uprooted an authoritarian government and would need to freeze the situation: retain control, retain order, provide security, seal the borders to keep terrorists from coming in.
When I left in 2000, General Franks took over. Franks was my ground-component commander, so he was well aware of the plan. He had participated in it; those were the numbers he wanted. So what happened between him and Rumsfeld and why those numbers got altered, I don't know, because when we went in we used only 140,000 troops, even though General Eric Shinseki, the army commander, asked for the original number."
Army Intelligence 1. God 0.
Look at it honestly, man...it comes off as a whole lot of bullshit. ESCPECIALLY when the big sky daddy's views shockingly and miraculously mirror your own. I'm sorry, but if it walks like a duck, and sounds like a duck, the odds dictate...
You'll notice only religion uses this argument.
I've never heard a Alien encounter victim, bigfoot believer or or phychic try this claim that disbelievers and ridiculers are proof of the claim. Only religions are foolish and desperate enough for ANY evidence that they think this makes sense.
Confused?
