This country needs to wake up. Everyone that claims to be a Muslim and practices their faith should be considered a potential terrorist and deported. Hassan was just following the dictates of his faith; we Christians are infadels in their eyes.

Okay, but Hassan was born here in the United States and there is nothing in the law books as to how an American born citizen can be stripped of their citizenship.
There are faithful and good Muslims that serve the armed forces proudly. What about you Anonymous Commenter?
What are Christians supposed to do with infidels?
Oh, right...
Deuteronomy 13:6-10 (KJV)
6: If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;
7: Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;
8: Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:
9: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
10: And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
Everyone that claims to be a Muslim and practices their faith should be considered a potential terrorist and deported.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;
Freedom can be a real bitch sometimes. Eh, Anonymous?
"Everyone that claims to be a Muslim and practices their faith should be considered a potential terrorist and deported."
Yeah, they seem to have gotten some idea that they have the freedom to practice their religion or something...
I expect that the vast majority of Muslims in the USA are not fundamentalists, having likely fled their home countries to escape fundamentalist violence. Certainly that's true of the Muslims I encounter here in Virginia, none of whom ever want to set foot in their home countries again.
There is a lot of hate and ignorance on that thread. I can understand being pissed at Hassan, he is a suspected killer (not convicted yet, gotta presume innocence), but to extend that hatred to all Muslims is ridiculous.
These are the same people who will get their panties all in a bunch if someone tries to portray all Christians as murdering right-wing lunatics the next time some right-wing lunatic shoots up a liberal church.
Sound familiar?
A poem we'll be reading in 12 years if fundies get their way ...
First they came for the Muslims, and I did not speak out -- because I was not a Muslim;
Then they came for the homosexuals, and I did not speak out -- because I was not a homosexual;
Then they came for the pacifist Quakers, and I did not speak out -- because I was not a pacifist Quaker;
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak out for me.
This is true in the most literal sense - Islam does call for permanent war on all unbeliverers.
But then by the same standards Christians should be stoning 95% of the population for crimes including homosexuality, seafood consumption and wearing mixed fabrics.
Most people in either faith don't live up to the evil of the central teachings.
"infadels(sic)"
Illiterate fucks, too.

godwin you lose

spammer you lose too
I really feel bad for the Muslims in this country because so many of them are marginalized thanks to the media and people like Hasan.
"He who is without sin, may cast the first stone." Does that sound familiar Anony? It should it comes from the very Bible that you read and hold so dearly.
Christians have done their fair share of bloodshed, you haven't forgotten about Timothy McVeigh haven't you?
"Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish scriptures, and the Christians and the Sabians - any who believe in Allah and the Last Day and work righteousness, shall have their reward with the Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve" - The Qur'an (Surah 2 Al-Baqarah Section 8, 62)
I've already quoted this today, but I think it's interesting: If you believe in God and the Judgement Day, you seem to be fine according to this passage in the Qur'an.
Now the infidels, that seems to be more atheists, but thats okay because we're used to being the godless heathens who will burn for all eternity.
It is just as forbidden to kill another human in Islam as it is in Christianity. And look, there are "Christian" abortion clinic bombers. And besides, your little deportation plan isn't sensical as there IS such a thing as a Muslim who was born here. You can't deport them to anywhere, because they didn't come FROM anywhere other than the US.
Just as they are "infadels" [sic] in your eyes.
The Native Americans probably considered the invading hordes from Europe as potential terrorists, but your ancestors were too many and too brutal, so the natives didn't manage to deport them.
Confused?
