The "reverse blacklist" against conservatives and believing Christians is far stronger than the 1950s era blacklist against Communists and their sympathizers. The only media venues where conservatives and believing Christians dominate are in talk radio and country music. Leftist led boycotts invariably fail when they go against persons whose market is supported by conservatives, most notably the boycotts against Rush Limbaugh, Chick-Fil-a, and Duck Dynasty. Conversely, ask the Dixie Chicks how well their careers went after they denounced George W. Bush in England.

Yes a reverse blacklist is a whitelist. And it makes no god damn sense in the context (or perhaps it makes more sense, just not in the way this idiot thinks) since a whitelist in this context would be a list of people who are allowed to speak and everyone else is silenced. Which actually sounds a lot like Fox News and conservative radio.
I've got a friend who listens to a lot of country music (that is, alongside all the other genres of music - this guy listens to a lot) and he tells me 90% of the good country is made by liberals. He's pretty much apolitical, too, as far as I know, so there's little bias involved.
I find it to be an interesting observation.
So, Rush has to use a pseudonym to get work and the stars of Duck Dynasty have fled the country before their passports were taken?

Chick-fil-a boycotted forced them out of west coast markets. The overall impact was minor because politically left people already avoided it like the plague before the boycott

The dixy chicks play the same venues they always did. They never rose above being a second or third tier music act.

This "blacklist" you have is no black list. The Conservatives and believing Christians are still doing fine and free.
Oh, and that country Music claim, many of you conservatives bitch about the state of "country music" and how it's just a variant on rockn'roll now (which is true). You complain about the groups and stars there as much.
Just because the conservative market is percieved as countries best market doesn't mean everyone in the game is full on right-wing Republicans. Many pander to Christians and over-done patriotism, many are still of the rebel/outlaw persuasion, many are a twang and lost hat away from being just another rock band and many that you think are pure Christian conservatives often surprize you one day with a slip of a liberal concept, ala Dixie Chicks.
