"Last Friday morning, the Iowa Supreme Court issued an astonishing decision, ruling unanimously that the state law declaring natural marriage -- the union of one man and one woman --unconstitutional."
First of all, they did no such thing. They said that denying someone their civil right to marriage based on sexual orientation was unconstitutional.
Second, you need a serious fucking history lesson if you think "natural marriage" (whatever the hell that's supposed to mean) is "one man and one woman". Until rather recently, in pretty much every culture, it was "one man and as many women as he could afford to support". That was particularly true for ruling classes. The only place you would have been likely to find the "one man, one woman" rule was for those being ruled or those too poor to have more than one wife which, probably, would have made the poor bastard a social outcast.
"Once again, arrogant judges have usurped the will of the people to impose homosexual "marriage" on its citizens."
Their job is to "usurp" the people when the "will of the people" is in direct fucking violation of the founding principles of the country.
"Amazingly, the Court held that natural marriage is solely a religious construct"
Yeah, no shit. What, you thought it was something else? The only reason you need a marriage license from the state is because they saw an untapped market that they could corner and make a hefty profit from.
"(despite the fact that governments around the world have recognized and upheld the institution for thousands of years)"
And? They recognize and uphold your right to hold silly beliefs also. It doesn't mean they support your beliefs.
"and went on to say "State government can have no religious view, either directly or indirectly, expressed through its legislation." Unbelievable. Every law reflects morality."
Yes, every law does reflect morality. The morality of the society from which the law stems. It does not (in our case anyway) reflect "Christian morality".
"The vast majority of laws in United States reflect a Judeo-Christian ethic."
Yeah? Which ones? Name them. Show which ones reflect only such ethics/morality and are not influenced by society as a whole (which is made up of people from every nation and every religion) and are not influenced by any religion, philosophy or idea but Judeo-Christian ones.
Take your time. I'll wait.
"Shall they all be struck down too?"
No, because you wont actually find any that fit that definition.
"Moreover, many supporters of legalized homosexual "marriage" attend churches that support such a position. What about that religious view? According to the Iowa Supreme Court then, legalized homosexual marriage reflects a "religious construct" which must not be, "either directly or indirectly, expressed through its legislation."
They are not supporting it on religious grounds. They're supporting it because they're decent people. You guys, on the other hand, only point to your Wholly Babble when asked why you don't support it thus making it a religious law in nature.
"Christians must not ignore the relentless assault on traditional marriage and the natural family any longer."
Read your Babble. "Traditional marriage" isn't what you think it is.
"Radical forces seek to eradicate our right to uphold and live out biblical standards."
You have every right to live your life that way. You have absolutely no fucking right to force others to live that way.
