Speaking of buffoons, I heard that the Great Obama plans on hosting a display of Chistian godlessness as he will perform a "MOMENT OF SILENCE" later this afternoon in front of the nation and world.
What? Is he afraid to mention the word "PRAYER?" Perhaps there is no equivalent non-ceremony in the religion of peace and the Grand Prevaricator will continue to pretend he is an actual Christian.

What? And are you fundies afraid to admit that...:

Nothing fails like prayer.
Well, DockyWocky, maybe what he's "afraid" of is being uninclusive. Which is a good thing, seeing as he's the president, and equality is a value he should be promoting. But you probably think that people who don't pray don't really matter anyway. You'd probably prefer it if he said that American atheists shouldn't be considered citizens or patriots, like another certain American president did...

"PROTIP: Christians hold moments of silence AS WELL!"
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II leading the two minute's silence at the Remembrance Day service at the Cenotaph, London; held every 2nd Sunday at 11 AM (and observed nationwide):

FYI, Docky: Queen Elizabeth II is Head of the Church of England. I think that makes her own Christian credentials unquestionable, wouldn't you say?
I love the smell of destroyed arguments in the morning. Smells like... victory.
There is an equivalent in Islam, and it's called -- get this -- PRAYER. In fact, they do it five times a day.
Has your dumb ass seriously never heard of a moment of silence before? People have been having them for, oh, only a few thousand years now. Every American president has led at least a few during their career. What rock have you been hiding under?
In the UK every November the 11th, we hold a two minute silence to commemorate Armistice Day. It's always been known as a silence, rather than a prayer, and our nation, while very multicultural, is explicitly Christian.
In short, you're wrong. Shut the fuck up.
@Philbert McAdamia
"I look at that picture of Bush {{shudder}} above and realize; even sound asleep he doesn't look innocent."
Well, in that pic at least, Dumbya's experiencing his own 'American Dream'
Meanwhile, for the rest of we sane, intelligent people in the US, UK, and the rest of the world, who live on Planet Reality, we're awake...!
It would be rather disrespectful to have a Christian prayer, considering that Rep. Giffords is Jewish and we don't know the religious affiliation, or lack thereof, of all the other victims. Much better to go with the more inclusive and classy moment of silence.
I've been asked to join a moment of silence in church, mostly after terrible accidents and natural disasters. And in school, after our prime minister was shot in 1986.
The religion of peace? Are you against peace, or what?
Uhm...Muslims pray. Like, a lot. Also Obama isn't one, as far as any sane peeps can figure. I think the whole idea of a moment of silence is that anyone can participate regardless of their religion or lack thereof without having to fuss over who is or isn't praying to whom. It's kind of like a game that everyone who wants to play, can play. Only you know, brief...And silent...And of a serious nature.
Let's see what common fucking sense has to say about Nostradamus and his "prophecies". (FYI, it's called 'postdiction'.)
Then again, we can't but forgive you for spouting illogical nonsense. It's not like religion trains people to think in a logical manner.
By calling it a moment of silence people are attempting to include ALL. Asshole.
@ Jezebel's Evil Sister - Awesome.
@ Mabus - Please get help. Your rambling is disturbing and incoherent. Have a nice day.
You ever notice that we accused Bush of being incompetent, stupid, and evil, while far-right nutcases accuse Obama of being Muslim? We think a Muslim could make a perfectly good president, so does that mean DockyWocky thinks a stupid, evil president would be OK?
The Christian principle is to remove the plank from your own eye before you try to take out the alleged speck from Obama's.
There is nothing the President can do which some loathsome bigot will not twist into an accusation of godlessness. The last two years have taught us two things: one that the man ain't perfect but two, nevertheless, that his moral and spritual integrity put his opponents to shame, and they can't stand it. Talk about showing themselves up!
The only "PRAYER" that would satisfy you tribal barbarians would be one where he damns every non-Christian in the country to Hell.
And even then, you would still be convinced he's a s00per sekrit muslim.
Why bother?
A "Moment of Silence" to unite the country in mourning? The horrors! The NERVE! The UNMITIGATED GALL AND AUDACITY! How DARE he not implicitly call it prayer? I mean by not pandering to the Christians, using all their buzz words, he surely reveals himself as the communist Nazi Antichrist Muslim that he is. Except for when he does, and is clearly faking it to fool the people into believing he's not a communist Nazi Antichrist Muslim.
Seriously. Fuck you. He was calling to memorialize people killed in an act of silence, and you condemn him for not doing it in the right way? Get a life.
Let's face it, WockaWocka, mabel, Ruptured Retards, The Freeper Bunch, The Mad Tea Party, etc. have their undies in a bunch about Obama cuz he's HALF BLACK with an "exotic"-sounding name! Why weren't they harping on ol' pasty white, el' blando-named "Panama McCain"?
Its usually a moment of silence to remember those who passed away. Its always been. People everywhere stop what they are doing and pause to reflect.
It need not be prayer. You can pray if you want, you can dance to the macarena if you really want.
But what counts is the thought not whether prayer is important or not. You just have not got the point.
So you're anti-peace?
How Christian.

The Great Obama? Can he saw a woman in half? Pull a rabbit out of a hat? Levitate? Materialize a tiger through a hoop?
No?

I, for one, wish he could make the Mad Tea Party Disappear! Perhaps, then he'll get something done!
"Dreaming Up Goofy Nicknames For Obama #2775678"
The ironic thing is that Obama is really throwing a bone to these retards. Everyone knows that a moment of silence is code for prayer. But our government can't endrose prayer because of something called the Constitution...so we say it is a moment of silence.
During moments of silence a guy like me looks around the crowd trying to figure out what women I would fuck, but most people talk to Jesus.
(heh, I'm quoting meself!):
"Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II leading the two minute's silence at the Remembrance Day service at the Cenotaph, London; held every 2nd Sunday at 11 AM"
I omitted a coupla words: 'Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II leading the two minute's silence at the Remembrance Day service at the Cenotaph, London; held every 2nd Sunday in November at 11 AM'
Brain fart there. Appollogies.
Or maybe it's just the fact that, you know, the victims themselves had different various beliefs and so he is choosing to honor them all in a way that offends the families of none of them.
Frak, not everything is a conspiracy to offend those who are religious.
Confused?
