The answer is that atheism is not only a belief in no God..It is an agenda, an ORGANIZED effort to kill any sign of God..In fact every year atheists ask for funding from the government...Oh ok, so then you are a religion...Why do the heathen rage? What is making them so angry? Why are they forcing God out of school? Why else would they come onto these boards, blapheme God anyway they can, mock prayer request threads(ahem..paul2), spit on the Bible, spit on faith, and generally hate all organized religion?????

Because it is stupid, baseless, pointless, intelligence stifling, great-mind destroying, seething, spiteful, funless, paranoid, egotistical, inane, fantastic, reason defying, reality-free, hatred-inducing, fearful, terror-inducing, backwards, magickal, superiour, money-grubbing garbage that has caused more death, suffering, torture, humiliation, property loss, famine, abuse, slavery, depression, and sorrow then anything I can think of. That's why, fuck-o.
Atheists are asking for money from the government? I haven't heard about this before. (Unless you mean grants for scientific research, which has nothing whatsoever to do with the scientists' religion; many of them are, in fact, religious believers.) But even if they are, how is that like religion? Religion CAN'T get money from the government (legally) it just gets to avoid paying taxes.
As for this so-called "ORGANIZED effort to kill God," that's just paranoia and projection. It's the fundies who are organized, and massively so; when's the last time you heard of a First Atheist Church of Wherever? And the fundies are trying very hard to push religion INTO schools, where it does NOT belong. So quit shouting at the mirror, bub.

Wrong. I do not care what you believe, so long as you allow us the same rights.

1) Evidence?
2) Atheism does not fit any reasonable definition of "religion".

Your attempts to enforce your views on the rest of us.

To the extent that we are, it's because the state has no business indoctrinating students into any religion.
"In fact every year atheists ask for funding from the government"
Cite or shut up.
We might be, as churchs, corperations and cultural groups do regularly. Despite churchs already digging deep into taxpayers pockets you accuse all others of this all the time. You want it all and you freak out on the slightest bit going to other causes, worthier causes.
I'm betting Atheist groups suceed very rarely but maybe apply, on a lark, to get a copy of official goverment denial hypocracy, especially in Texas and other ass-backwards states or communities.
Remember Perry, renting a stadium on the taxpayers money to pray for rain? Because after a hundred days of no rain they weren't praying enough or needed their glorious God Perry to lead them for it to work. It didn't, odds were it would have rained after not for so long, odds failed.
Wanna bitch about goverment expenditures? Have the churchs, Perry and his ilk start cutting personal checks to the public coffers for religious services and events unconstitutionally stealing money from the public.
What is making them so angry?
Bullshit like this.
Atheism is a lack of belief in any gods, goddesses or other deities.
No, it has no agenda or organization, and it would be futile to kill something that does not exist.
Special privilege for religious organizations, and them pushing their religion down our throats, are making us angry. Gods have no place in secular schools in a secular society.
Can we teach about Shiva in schools? No? Then it's no gods; either all of them or none of them.
Confused?
