We have a nation of ruthless, self indulgent, God hating, liberal homo lovers who's agenda is to completely destroy the Christians and their righteous way of life by comparison to the depraved lifestyles of those who wish to pleasure themselves with sex, money and material things which God has no use for.

For a deity who doesn't like money, his followers sure do love to build those multi-million dollar "mega churches." In my town the local First Baptist Church is building a $1.2 million center for teens (they have a middle school and high school program that reaches out to area teens and encourages them to get "saved"). This town has a population of only about 6,000, and yet they can justify spending millions of dollars on this center when people down the street are in need of better housing, clothing, and food.

If pleasuring myself and my partner with sex is wrong, then I don't want to be right. :P
Slogan on a local church's message board by the side of the road: "Tithe if you love Jesus: anyone can honk"
so, no, the church never demanded, say, for example, 10 percent of your earnings....
Considering who's in the White House, I'd say the problem is that we have a nation of ruthless, self-indulgent, God-believing, conservative homophobes whose agenda is to completely destroy science and logical ways of thinking by comparison to the hypocritical lifestyles of those who wish to pleasure themselves with power, money and material things which God has no use for.
I'd say this is, at the very least, a matter of perspective.

I've never tried it with money before. Just thinking about it, I don't see how that would work. I wouldn't want to try it with those comparatively sharp edges on most coins.

You've got to be kidding me. I'd say that has to be a prank by some atheist who found the idea amusing, but I know better than to think there's any bottom to the well of stupidity fundies drink from. (Horribly mixed metaphor, but whatever.)
Fundies may just be Satan's #1 assistants (assuming, for the moment, that he exists) because of the sheer numbers they drive away from Christianity. For every one they "save", I'll bet they deconvert a dozen or more.

No, Crosis, that slogan is entirely legit, not a plant by atheist jokers, and the fundies that have used it have been quite proud of it. The fact that it borders on emotional extortion never seems to cross their minds.

a) Jesus did not give big speeches from his megachurch about liberals and how they're destroying the fabric of a righteous society. Athiests are your target audience, continuing to call them the enemy will cause the same kind of results that the Pharisee Jews had after they nailed your Savior to the cross.
b) Jesus did not live a life of luxury. In a nation that claims to have over 80% belief that Jesus died for their sins, less than 17% give any financial assistance to those less fortunate. So much for "sell what you own, give it to the poor, take up your cross and follow me."
You good conservative Christians will have the rest of us converted in no time!
