Oh well, I guess he at least recognizes that they are persecuted; now for him to realize that it's people like him that are doing the persecution. Many would be perfectly happy to have a nice steady marriage, but aren't allowed to get married (at least in the U.S.) for the simple reason that too many fuckwits in power see it as 'detestable' themselves (despite the fact that several of them personally practice it).
