The Founders are right, and Darwin is wrong. All things came into being through the work of a Creator God.
The "creator" that many of the Founders believed in and that Jefferson referenced in the Declaration of Independence isn't even remotely related to the christian god
They did not come into being through blind chance and the random collision of atoms
Who says that they did? While random chance is a factor in evolution by natural selection it is the central or guiding factor of evolution.
Even science says that matter and energy can neither be created nor destroyed.
That fact of reality alone precludes a "creator god".
By scientific definition, then, both had to come from some source outside the universe.
You don't even know what "scientific definition" means, do you? Science is, and can only be, confined to the scope of our universe. Science cannot, by it's very nature, define anything outside the universe or that there even is an outside of the universe. Moreover, matter and energy are the very fabric of the universe, without matter and energy there would be no universe to add matter and energy to
The teaching of origins in all our educational institutions should reflect this
Reflect what? A decidedly non scientific and unprovable assertion that not only brings no evidence whatsoever to the table, but is also based on fatally flawed misunderstanding of basic scientific principles.
and explore the implications for society if elected officials believe Darwin
You do realize that...
A) Darwin was a real person not a mythical figure and therefore one does not need to "believe" in him.
B) People do not "believe" in evolution, they accept it.
C) Evolutionary theory is a area of scientific study, not a worldview and as such makes no claim on matters that fall outside it's scope, including but not limited to matters social, religious, and moral.
D) There have been thousands of elected officials that accept evolutionary theory in the US alone.
E) All darwin did was to provide a framework of evolution, a framework that has since been filled in by the work of thousands of scientists over 150 years.
survival of the fittest
"Fittest" in the evolutionary sense does not mean the strongest or most vicious, it means the the species best adapted to thrive in it's current enviroment. Evolutionary principles apply to species, not individuals.
might makes right
There is nothing in the ToE that even comes close making that claim. All you are doing is putting up strawmen that have little, if anything to do evolution.
eugenics
Eugenics isn't remotely related to Darwinian evolution. The ToE works on the principle of natural selection, eugenics is it polar opposite, advocate unnatural selection.
Adolph Hitler
The same Adolph Hitler that banned the teaching of Darwinian evolution and had copies of Origin of Species publically burned?
six million dead Jews
The Holocaust was born from endemic and religiously fostered antisemitism, not evolutionary theory.
