Why would people over a span of 2,000+ years "invent" Old Testament/New Testament writings?
Why not? No ones claiming that they "invented" them with deceitful or malicious intent, the authors of the bible may very well have believed what they wrote about, but that doesn't mean that the bible is any more true than any other mythic traditions.
Who has time to waste?
Is that actually a serious question?
the Bible is authentic
How can you vouch for the authenticity of the bible when you don't even have a clue who authored a good chunk of the book? And what of all the supposed events in the bible for which there is no contemporary extra biblical evidence?
every author was ordained by the Lord
And you know that how? Because "god" told you so, or because the bible says it is? Every holy book of every religion claims either divine authorship or divine inspiration, what makes your claims any more plauasible then the others, aside from the fact that you have an emotional investment in wanting yours to be true?
don't bring up the argument of the Book of Mormon, the Qur'an, etc,
Why not? Could it be because their very existence is proof positive that your claim is specious at best?
because these were all written by false prophets as warned in the New Testament
How convenient.
