Should I send my Atheist neighbors a CHRISTmas card?
They are so lacking in any kind of mirth all the year. I think they need Jesus in their lives, but I am afraid the card will remind them that they have not accepted christ and might be not going to heaven. I don't wont to make them less miserable at this time of the year, which is about love.

Why? So you can try to preach at them about how they're going to hell... again...
They are so lacking in any kind of mirth all the year.
They live next to you, no wonder they're fucking sad!
I don't wont to make them less miserable at this time of the year, which is about love.
You don't want to make them LESS miserable??? You want them to be fucking miserable?? Feel the Christian fucking love...
Send them a Holiday Card, but I think you are so rude, you would send someone you knew was Jewish a "Christmas" card, wouldn't you.
I thought for a moment, and realized that to the fundy, christmas is the only time to show love, at least to this post. Then I thought, that can't be right, they don't believe in love at all, but then I looked at the author. It's been awhile since we've heard from Jayden's Mommy. No wonder this doesn't make any damn sense.
If you sent me an x-mas card, I would send it back to you with the dogshit I scraped up with it.
I particularly enjoyed this line:
I don't wont to make them less miserable at this time of the year, which is about love.
Yes, you truly are a christ-stain.
I take it by the question marks, you are either not sure Jayden is your child's name, or you're not sure that you're a mother...
WTF?
"I think they need Jesus in their lives, but I am afraid the card will remind them that they have not accepted christ and might be not going to heaven. " - No, it'll just remind them what a douche you are, since they don't believe in heaven anyway, and don't care that they won't be going there.
"I don't wont to make them less miserable at this time of the year, which is about love. " - How christian of you. Don't want to be making people less miserable now, do we?
I don't wont (want?) to make them less miserable at this time of year, which is about love.
Is this another typo or are you just an ass?
Go ahead. Add them to your list. Maybe I'll send you a Pagan Yule card since we were there first. You fundies lack mirth with all your whining, dour personalities soaked in apocalyptic drama and hopes of persecution. Doodie head.
And why do fundies seem to favor monikers with their child's name?
No, Just a Christmass card.
They (we) are hardly lacking of mirth, But we would like a few less attrocitys from the religious this coming year.
You can think any absurd thing you like.
You have a strange deffinition of "love"
Yeah! It's so soul destroying having to wrestle with these emotionally wrenching dilemmas. Every year as well. Life's not easy is it? It's hardly a bed of roses; and one is going to face impossible decisions like this every day. Oh! The strain.
Still, them's the breaks. That's the price you have to pay for being a hypocrite.
im an athiest, but i still send out cards. its a commonly celebrated time of year, thus i just customise each card to the individual. If they celebrate Christmas, the card is a christmas card. If they celebrate Hannukah, i send a card wishing them a happy hannukah. if they are a pagan, they get a yule card etc.
They are so lacking in any kind of mirth all the year. I think they need Jesus in their lives,
Yeah, because a guy tortured to death on a pole as a scapegoat to escape eternal torture is a fount of mirth. Why, I'm giggling just thinking about it.
If it is just a simple X-Mas card without any "nice" additions like:
You will burn in hell if you don´t accept Jesus in your life
or something like that,
they will surely enjoy it (unless they´re rather fundamentalist atheists ;) ).
And don´t worry, as they don´t believethat your christian god exists, they will surely not believe that they´ll burn in hell when they don´t accept christ in their lifes, no matter how often you tell it to them ;)
> Should I send my Atheist neighbors a CHRISTmas card?
Why the heck not? I sent a Christmas cards to a Wiccan friend of mine and I'm an atheist. And they liked the card a lot! Everyone loves a friendly warm festive card in the darkest time of the year!
> I don't wont to make them less miserable at this time of the year, which is about love.
Aww. In times that are about love, I tend to make people less miserable. Because that's what love is about, you know. People tend to be annoyed if someone randomly ruins happy festivities for no good reason.
It seems to me that the principle of charity requires that we at least acknowledge the strong possibility that "I don't wont (sic) to make them less miserable at this time..." line is a mistake caused by poor English skills and/or typing - certainly not laudable, but not really relevant to an evaluation of the poster's nature.
All in all, this seems pathetically sweet, in a totally clueless kind of way. She wants to offer people what she thinks of as comfort and happiness, and is worried about offending them. Yes, it's silly, but at least she's trying to be nice...
They are so lacking in any kind of mirth all the year
Why? Are atheist somehow incapable of celebrating any of the many non religious festivals that also happen to fall in the latter half of december?
I think they need Jesus in their lives
Well obviously they don't.
but I am afraid the card will remind them that they have not accepted christ and might be not going to heaven.
If they gave a shit about going to your imaginary candyland then they would be christians wouldn't they?
I don't wont to make them less miserable at this time of the year, which is about love.
Let me get this straight, it's loving to not alleviate someones misery? So it would be even more loving to make them more miserible? I don't know what kind of religion you worship but it's sure a fucked up one.
Depends. If you know for a fact that they are an atheist, and they know you know it, it would be seen as your being deliberately rude. It would hardly be an example of "love your neighbor", which is one of the only two things Jesus commanded you to do. Whether that bothers you or not, only you can say.
funny how almost no one on this site can think of any better language to use then 4 lettered words. oh yeah. us fundies are the stupid ones. we are only smart enough to not have to use such language.
yes send them one ladie.then kindly take the festivous card they give you and don't preach at them. if they want to observe holydays that they got from TV(wonder what esle they pull outa that thing) then let them.lol.
As an Answers Yahoo, I know dear Jayden's Mommy from some time back. I'm inclined to call "Poe" sometimes. but her postings are so consistently knuckleheaded that it actually seems unlikely.
I see Fireball is here too. What fun!
I do not understand these women who want their usernames to have the word "mommy" in them.
Okay, they have kids... let's not be precious about it, puh-leeze.
Personally I'd find it meaningless if somebody sent me a Xmas card. It occasionally still happens.
However, I'd be more than a bit pissed off if you started preaching to me about going to heaven, accepting Jebus, and all that crap.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
