We have to play to win. That’s what the other side is doing. They cheat; they lie; they steal. If we do not play to win, we will lose. If the Republicans will not respect the basic framework of democracy, if they will not play by the rules, then we cannot afford to respect them, either.
There is much more at stake here — not just the shape of our politics and our Republic, but the future of the whole planet. The greatest threat we face is that of climate change, and we can’t afford to let this country fall to a party that denies science. If the price of saving the planet is a few decades of dictatorship in one country, then so be it.

And Lenin was basically right, since Kerensky was a complete tool. And in a dictatorship, as long as you can live your life and the economy is good, who cares? Is democracy really that good? Even though less than 60% regularly turn out for the presidential elections?
What we see here is the nonsense of pro-democratic thought in its finest. Where the right to vote who you want to (no matter how ignorant or stupid you might be, or for that matter, your chosen candidate might be) is the most important, instead of the economy, the fucking planet, I don't know. United States election 2016 is bringing out the best on both sides, from racists to the people not condemning the election as an obvious reason why liberal democracy is nonsense. The fact the left was always pro-democracy (see French Revolution) is why the left can never win.

But the republic party is the party of dictatorship. You'll only be setting up conditions where they rule for the next 100 years.

Yeah, ever thought the problem lies somewhere else? Like for example at the point at which we are already getting, where you get basicaly two groups of people wanting something completely diffrent for their lives and world. It`s not the idea of voting, of people choosing but rather as I see it, that we made a very bad job as a species at distributing ourselves across these social constructs we call nations, that there might just be a point of no return, one beyond which we might not be able to find a compromise for us all anymore? Of course, this above reads like about now there should be some entry about making sacrifices and how of course it must be "them" who`s gonna be making them. Not in my program, oh I know they would go for it without a second thought but the only ting you can ever gain from acting like the monsters you fight is that you`re going to start resembling them very, very soon. In my mind there is little doubt we`ll all just going to fall and burn as a civilisation. We tried to take fucking nazis and other control freaks without empathy and "marry" them to our part, obviously we failed and it does make me terribly sad because although I don`t believe it can last and though it has tons of issues, I truly love our western civilisation with all my heart... My own idea out of this would be to put forth a concept of a new society, but one that does not do away with the old ones, nor their people. Basically get as big a group of really like minded folks as you can and start gathering the resources. We don`t want and in my personal case I simply physically cannot live my life surrounded by oppressors who care nothing for my will and my existence. I`m not going to delve into the details here but yeah, fully volountary society, as much and only as much control as one agrees on their own accord, don`t like it, want to experience all the control, all the feelings of being unable to decide if you want your joint? All those societies are stilll there standing. Want to be able to publicly lie and shout your lies about LGBTs? Again, nothing simpler but some of us I believe inside this species have no tolerance and no stomach for lying and obfuscating the facts just as some of us have no patience for idiots without the basic education in the matter making all the choices for us. A society of individuals FOR(right now our societies exist for their own quasi-collective sakes) individuals where no one can get with taking your drugs away or forcing their kids to church regardless of their opinion. Where an elected climate specialist decides on our environmental policies just as a dietician decides which products get the warning labels. An ambitious idea, perhaps possible.
