in ozark highlands i've seen huge cedar trees ripped from the earth. american "yetis" dwell there, telepathic with feudal society, in caves.

That's a Mongolian Death Worm, which, as the name implies, is supposedly native to Mongolia , not Hillbilly Country.
No, what happened is, you got ripped on Listerine and brake fluid, broke into the local public library, and skimmed through the SCP Foundation for about six hours while listening to original cast recordings from Hee-Haw.
Well, uh, we kinda done tried to bring them Mongolian Death Worms to Ozark Country to be pets.
That din't go so well. All the worms gone and escaped and Cousin Cletus get electrified for his trouble in tryin' tah recapture them!
The thing about the yetis confuses me.
How do creatures living in caves have feudal societies? I'm pretty sure a feudal society is an agricultural one where land is owned by one wealthy individual who pretty much has ownership over a much larger underclass of workers who work the land in exchange for protection and basic resources. Nothing grows in caves, therefore there could be no farming based underclass for anyone to lord over. Also, I have a hard time seeing a telepathic society becoming such a system. Lack on education is an important factor of control in feudal societies and sudden increases the spread of ideas, such as what followed the invention of the printing press, tend to fatally destabilize them. And I can't see anyway to prohibit the free exchange of information in a telepathic society. Everyone would know what everyone else knows, there would be no ignorant populace to grind underfoot.
Unless you meant the cave dwelling yetis can only communicate with feudal societies, and do so telepathically,in which case they've probably been pretty lonely the last few centuries. The grammar is pretty unclear. You should have spent more time paying attention in English class.
Confused?
