It is a common misconception that Christians are indoctrinated at birth. Many people hear of Christianity at birth especially if they are born in Christian homes, however, remaining a Christian is always based on that persons' personal encounter with God.
Now, in EVERY school you are FORCED to learn Evolution. You are FORCED to believe it or fail your Science / Psychology course. You are ridiculed if you question it ... considered "smart" if you believe it and "stupid" if you require actual proof of it.
What is indoctrination?... when you believe something wholeheartedly without proof simply because you are "forced" to. Want to know the lies of evolution?... Dr. Kent Hovind explains.
Watch ALL the Kent Hovind seminars for the complete exposition of the "tax-supported" indoctrination that is called EVOLUTION.

Since explaining the actual diffrence would be a waste of time with your kind, I will just refer you to results of one vs the other, should make for a processable difference even for something as herdlike as you.
You can believe it didn't happen and still pass your science course. Just as you can be an atheist and pass your R.E. exam.
Also, how does psychology fit into this, exactly?
Churches don't pay taxes nor their pastors and staff. This includes the multi-millionaire mega churches and Mormon businesses. Billions lost in tax revenue every year. Billions.
You are not forced to believe in evolution just to understand it. I understand your stupid wasteful and dishonest religion and have certainly faced pressure to believe it but not once in school was this pressure present on evolution. Know what I had in grade ten auto mechanics? A fucking dick who thought we needed to red three verses of that stupid book every morning. Thought he could force that on us, was he stopped? No, Did I have to do it anymore? No, as was my right, but he was allowed, against secular school edicts, to continue.
These people know damn well there's no fierce force to believe in Evolution, these stories are fear tactic stunts to encourage creation teaching and charter schools.
Evolution, like it or not, is fact. Whether or not "god" gave it a push in the right direction is a mythological explanation for it, so believe it if you choose. But evolution has been observed in real time(which is why your flu shot composition changes from year to year), and all the evidence of fossils shows us that it has happened continuously for millions of years.
FACT is what public schools want to be taught in their science classes. We don't believe in lying to children. We will leave that to religion.
Students are not required to believe evolution in order to pass science classes, they are merely required to understand what the TOE says and be able to regurgitate it on test. That does not require belief. Sadly, there are plenty of college students who don't believe in TOE despite being exposed to it and having it thoroughly explained.
Being taught something is not the same as forced to believe something.
Kent Hovind? You mean the man who believes things other creationists thinks are bad arguments? Even his son doesn't follow the things he believes.
"Watch ALL the Kent Hovind seminars for the complete exposition of the "tax-supported" indoctrination that is called EVOLUTION."
And remember: For tried and true results, stick to the tax-exempt indoctrination that is RELIGION.
Re. "Personal encounter with God." How would you possibly define the event in that framework without someone who has supplied that interpretation? (either a priori or a posteriori)
Coersion: Implying a threat like Hell, for example, for non-compliance.
Well, considering Kent 'Dragging His Prolapsed Arse Around After Ten In The Pen' Hovind's crime perhaps it's time all right-wing fundie churches were forced to pay their rather sizeable chunk of the taxes owed by Christianity in the US since 1776 - nearly $17 quadrillion - in their case untold trillions
Schools, colleges & universities serve a practical purpose. The benefits of an educated population are manifold.
...unless you can prevent the Atheist Chinese state university students hacking into your financial, commercial, industrial, intelligence & military databases with Genesis 1:1.
Except that, you know, nobody forces you to believe in evolution in school. You're just required to understand it. Which seems reasonably fair if you want to decide for yourself if it's true or not. Just as religious studies don't force you to believe in those religions (at least they shouldn't), just understand them.
Also, requesting proof of evolution isn't stupid at all. What is stupid is denying the proof when it's actually presented to you and then pretending you never recieved it in the first place.
But what the hell am I even doing. I'm trying to argue with a person who actually listens to god's greatest idiot, Kent friggin' Hovind! I'd have more success convincing a lion to become a vegetarian...
Maybe things have changed in the 8 years or so since I graduated high school, but we only really gently touched on evolution in my bio class, from what I recall. (I didn't really pay much attention to bio, admittedly.) We spent a lot more time on what you could broadly call ecology and some cellular biology, with a little chemistry thrown in for good measure.
Oddly enough, we didn't focus much on evolution in my high school bio class. Perhaps because it was molecular bio, not basic bio. This was also back in the 90s, before the right wing virus had spread & replicated like it has now.
I wouldn't trust Kent Fucking Hovind to give me the correct time of day, much less take any of his "scientific" claims seriously. Anyone that opens their doctoral thesis with " Hi my name is Kent" is clearly an idiot & is to be mercilessly mocked, even more so after doing a dime in the clink for tax fraud.
Now get off the web, CO. It's far too advanced for you.
"You are FORCED to believe it or fail your Science / Psychology course."
Actually, that's not true. You're simply required to understand it. BTW Psychology? WTF?
"stupid" if you require actual proof of it.
No, you're stupid if you're presented with the reams of proof we've found and promptly go "but but but, muh creation myth!"
As I have said before, Kent Hovind's doctorate is like someone claiming to be a relationship expert because of his marriage of convenience to a woman he has never met before or since, and Hovind is desperately trying to hide the photos that clearly show her to be a blow-up doll.
Not that I doubt that neomisogynists would fall for such a conman as well (looking at you, Roosh "Professional Sex Tourist" Virgin).
Dr. Kent Hovind explains.
I don't know which part here is the funniest; the whole thing, or calling him "Dr."
I'm a doctor, too. A doctor of letters; a sign painter.
I have a B.S., an M.S., and 2 Ph.D.s
(You know what B.S. is, and M.S. is More of the Same.
And I have it Piled Higher and Deeper. I'm also a professional
Post Hole Digger.)
Indoctrination doesn't have to succeed to count as such. Furthermore, being taught the observable facts of reality is no more indoctrination than being taught how to make a sandwich. Indoctrination would be if we tacked on an unsupportable conclusion and called it a fact and/or the threat of "and if you ever question what I'm teaching you then you'll be jailed/tortured/killed" . You know: what you do.
Confused?
