So...just what the fuck does God need to get revenge for? Who gets one over on God the first time? How can an omnipotent being avenge Himself upon others???

Funny how GOD didn't bother to turn Matthew Shepard into a pillar of salt, or smite him with lightning, or even send a pack of bears after him. No, GOD is so pathetically powerless that he had to have a bunch of redneck hicks torture Shepard to death.
This was not "GOD's revenge" at all; it was human barbarism and cruelty to a fellow human being who had done nothing to them, and gameboysp13 is at least a vicarious accessory to their despicable crime if he considers it anything else.

Funnily enough, the 10 commandments say "THOU SHALT NOT KILL". Don't recall "Thou shalt not be gay and if you are you can be tortured to death for it."

According to the Bible, being gay is only one of 400-600 "sins" (depending on how you count), and not by far the worst. Disobeying your parents and working on the Sabbath both carry worse penalties. Making fun of a bald person got 42 little kids ripped to shreds by bears. Overindulging in quail meat got a whole bunch of people killed by disease and buried in a field called the "graves of lust". Lying to your husband to be about your virginity gets you stoned to death on your father's doorstep, thereby killing you (slowly and painfully) and publicly humiliating your whole family to boot.
Nothing in the Bible says gays get beat up, tied to a fence and left to freeze to death. In fact, the Bible doesn't even ask (or authorize) humans to do anything about gays.
Absolutely mind-numbing.
Listen, when your supposed god acts out revenge, it involves entire towns being wiped out, plagues, basically large scale death. Your god has never been written to act in single murders through a bunch of thugs, especially since a) he's friggin god and could just wipe out something he doesn't like, and b) a murder doesn't really help the populace side with the killers.
Sorry, I think you're trying to justify why you think it was fine for an innocent man to be killed, but even if I was a christian...you're a fucking disgrace to anyone who associates themselves with you.
Okaaay... let's just for one minute assume that gameboysp13 isn't a complete moron and his hypothesis is actually true.
Why hasn't "god" wiped out the millions of other gays he supposedly hates so much? Why just one guy in small-town America? And why get other humans to do it? Why not just reach down from the clouds and do it himself?
I know, because "god" doesn't exist and Matthew Shepard was murdered in cold blood by some fucking fundie douchebags who hated him for his sexuality, because he wasn't like them, and because they thought they were superior.
Then what about the monsters who tortured and murdered him? Murder is a sin, is it not? "Thou shalt not kill" and all that. And you could argue that their eventual imprisonment was God's revenge on them, but why was it not equal to Matthew's "punishment?" Since you fundies love to harp on the Old Testament so much, surely you must believe in "an eye for an eye." Since their sin was equal to (or in fact greater, since it directly violated one of the Ten Commandments) Matthew's supposed sin, why weren't they in turn murdered?
Because it wasn't God's punishment. It was a depraved, heartless act of inhuman cruelty towards a fellow human being. God had nothing to do with it.
I think the scariest part about this is that this guy has to be pretty young, just from his username and the way he talks.
It's sad that kids are being taught hatred and discrimination from such a young age that they probably won't ever get a chance to form their own opinions.
