Are we, even now, getting a glimpse into the prophetic future when God will cause all those who receive the mark of the beast to be tormented by noisome and grievous sores as a result of it? I don't know nor do I pretend to, but it's a definite possibility. As I've documented on numerous occasions in the past, there is a developing market for the use of these microchip implants in human beings. Now, seemingly in perfect keeping with bible prophecy if the RFID microchip implant is to be the mark of the beast in the future, we're seeing the argument made in court that these devices may hold the potential to cause "noisome" and "grievous" sores on implantees.
I can't make this stuff up. Stay tuned.

FSTDT and CSTDT twofer!
Also, as my dad works with the medical field- ALL the RFID chip is going to do is hold your name and medical informtion and stuff like that in case of an emergency. This way doctors can automatically tell if there's any medications you're allergic to and so on (just like the ones vets already have for pets). And it can't be tracked by gps like these idiots think. You can only read these things with a special wand and it can be no more than a couple inches above it to be able to. Also, IT'S FUCKING OPTIONAL!!!
I doubt RFIDs will be implanted in many humans, and certainly not involuntarily. More likely, I imagine, the technology will probably be incorporated into "smart phones" or similar devices - sort of an "E-ZPass" for store merchandise.

And all this based on a book that doesn't have a single shred of evidence to back up it's claims? A man made from dirt? A talking snake? Bats are birds? Insects have four legs? Pi = exactly 3?
Nope, you certainly couldn't make that up. Nosiree.

Oh. Sounds awful. I don't like the sound of that. Presumably, when that happens, we'll be very, very close to the rapture. Cool. That's a bit of a relief then. That means the awful things you speak of won't happen for billions and billions of years yet. However, I must admit, I'm not too certain about that. One of those assumptions must be wrong when we consider the likely date of the rapture taking place is c. 5,000,002,010 A.D.

Oh, don't be so modest! You deserve the Pulitzer for the story you've concocted!
Is there, even now, a giant meteor hurtling toward Earth on a collision course? Are scientists working on 4 skeleton-like robots that can ride horses? Is there a raccoon taking a dump in a lettuce field somewhere that is going to cause a plague of the shits? I don't know, nor do I pretend to, but possible or not, the words of John the Lunatic predict none of it.
The Bible says:
And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
The so called "Mark of the beast" can't be an implant as it's supposed to be ON their hand or forehead, not IN it. I love how supposed Biblical literalists stop being literal when it suits them and their paranoid fantasies.
I can't make this stuff up.
I wouldn't doubt that as it's probably something you heard from a pastor that you're simply regurgitating.
There's a great video series titled "Christian Rapture Church Christ" on YouTube where an obvious Christian gives proof that the entire Rapture, years of tribulation belief these people have isn't Biblical at all. It's made up from nearly nothing
He does this with many actual Bible verses as opposed to the Fundie method of using Mark Twain, Kennedy or Ghandi quotes without realizing it
"Are we, even now, getting a glimpse into the prophetic future when God will cause all those who receive the mark of the beast to be tormented by noisome and grievous sores as a result of it?"
I've found condoms to be a great protection against being tormented by grievous sores.
Oh, and not banging crack whores or having sex with Republicans in men's rooms.
It's conceivable that if one received an RFID implant from a negligent medic using inadequately sterilized instruments, one could get 'noisome and grievous' sores.
The rest of your post IS made-up stuff.
Mark of the beast, eh..Try getting a job, credit card, insurance etc... in this country without a social security number. That's beastly, if you will.
Is he, in his confused way, talking about an allergic reaction?
I wonder if noisome (smelly) sores were a big problem back then - guessing yes, because the bible says very little about hygiene.
I can't make this stuff up.
You obviously can.
I was told by fundies 20 years ago how people were going to be implanted with microchips "very soon" that were nicknamed "the beast," and you wouldn't be able to buy or sell without one. I guess they're still working the bugs out of the system because I haven't seen it implemented yet.

Well STOP PICKING AT IT, THEN!

Seems the Dark and Horn-ed One has completely blindsided not just the tinfoil-hatted wingnuts, but even God himself:

No 'mark' on the forehead/hand, nor even a chip implanted, required. And it all started in 1974:

Certainly cant buy or sell anything without one!

We are the borg. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

You don't have to make this stuff up. You can tune in to star trek reruns.

It depends on what version of the bible you're reading as to whether the mark of the beast is going to be ON or IN the hand.
The King James Version of Revelation 13:16 reads: "And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark IN their right hand, or in their foreheads:"
The Greek word for mark is charagma. If you research the root meaning of that word, you will find it is closely connected to the Greek word grapho, a definition of which could be the recording of information.
What is recorded on a chip implant if not information? Just saying.
> I don't know nor do I pretend to, but it's a definite possibility.
Given your obvious worldview, I think that indicates that you do indeed pretend to know.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
