To this end, is it not possible that God created the Earth with all the fossils in place making it appear as if the Earth had been here for much longer that the 6000 years that the Bible documents. God could have even created fossil records that would lead some to believe that man had indeed descended from apes. In fact, on August 8, 2012, a new article was published entitled, ‘New human species identified from Kenya fossils’ that spoke about fossil records in Africa indicating that at least three distinct species of humans co-existed in Africa at the same time, two million years ago.
God could have created an earth that appeared aged to not only challenge our minds, but also to test our faith. The Bible documents many times where man’s faith is challenged by even greater things than a theory such as this. This is only one theory, but it is as possible as the Earth being millions of years old and the dinosaurs being wiped out by an asteroid strike, or any other number of theories you can read about.

By that logic, it's equally plausible that the universe was created by Zeebab the tribble king. It's also just as plausible that the universe was created last Tuesday by the gnomes in my garage.
Yet I'll wager that neither you nor anyone else believes either of the above scenarios. Why is that?
Evidence matters, Cindy.
And what if aliens created dinosaurs and then developed a device to speed up time because they weren't happy with the dumb dinosaurs walking around. So they pushed a button and BAM here we are in the 21st century.
Its just one theory but its just as possible as god did it.
Hmmm? What an interesting theory. It completely explains why Bible God is nonexistent. Fascinating! Fascinating! Come to think of it, it probably explains why He is invisible as well, presumably to test our gullibility. Well done that deity! What a cunning plan.
What's the difference between a Bible God fantasy universe and a holographic universe? And does it matter? Maybe Bible God's cousins in other universes do it differently? Who knows? Perhaps the multiverse exists in a kind of foam or drool that Bible God dribbles in His insane twitchings? The possibilities are endless.

is it not possible that God created the Earth last tuesday with all the detailss in place making it appear as if the Earth had been here for much longer that the 10 days that last tuesdayism documents.

That would make god a big-ass liar and a hypocrite.
Also, even if it would be possible, the evidence suggestes otherwise, and a scientist must follow the evidence where it leads, so creationism would still be unscientific.
<grammar nazi> You forgot to put a question mark at the end of your question. </grammar nazi>
test our faith
If God is all-knowing, then he doesn't need to test anything. Any "testing of faith" would simply be fucking with us for shits and giggles. Gods that fuck with their creation for their own amusement are not worthy of worship.
My bible, the Guide, says that mice, which are actually supremely intelligent hyper-dimensional beings, paid aliens to create the Earth, which is actually a giant super computer meant to find the Ultimate Question.
Disprove that.
Arguing that your god is dishonest by creating the world to appear older than it is in an attempt to test some people, the results of the test it already knows ahead of time, does not help your case. I have no desire to follow any god that is a liar.
Why do you worship a god which constantly lies, and then believe him when he says you're going to get eternal paradise when you die? Wouldn't it be funny if you got to Heaven and found all the "bad" people there, and God says "psych!" and casts you into Hell?
Possible; yes. Probable; no. Makes sense; not at all!
Why did God create those caves in France with paintings that might be hundred thousand years old?
In the choice between nonsensical faith, and tangible, evidence-based science, I will definitely choose science!
"This" is not a theory, honey, it's arrant nonsense. The Earth is 4,5 billion years old, not mere millions. Those theories are, in fact, scientific theories , that have been tested, retested, published in science journals and peer-reviewed. Have your little "theory" withstood that amount of scrutiny? No? Then it isn't a theory, it's not even a hypothesis. It's barely even an idea.
Is it possible? Sure. Heck he could have created the universe as it is now one picosecond ago.
But it's not falsifiable and therefore not even "wrong" science to make the claim. It's not science...period.
If God were real and not believing in him would cause his special creations to be tormented forever, a good, all-powerful, all-knowing God would make a clear case for himself.

Sure. That's what the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster says. Of course in that case, God could have created the Bible the same way. In fact, He could have created everything last Thursday.
OK got it. So your willful ignorance and anger at verifiable Scientific facts isn't the problem here. The problem is that there is a trickster god on the loose who goes around trying, for no apparent reason, to make people who think logically and base their opinions on evidence, look stupid. So is this the same god as the creator god? Because if that's how the universe operates I'm going to have to be reassigned to a different one.
is it not possible that God created the Earth with all the fossils in place making it appear as if the Earth had been here for much longer that the 6000 years that the Bible documents.
Only if you assume that god is a liar... in which case, why trust anything attributed to that god? And don't say that god cannot lie... you just fucking argued that it falsified the geological evidence of the age of the Earth!
Except that other theories - such as the asteroid which wiped out the dinosaurs - have evidence to back them up. All you have is a desperate and stupid attempt to reconcile your idiotic bible and even more idiotic beliefs with reality.
In fact, this baloney about fossils being put here to test our faith is as old as the fossils themselves, so you can't even claim a degree of original thought.
"To this end, is it not possible that God created the Earth with all the fossils in place making it appear as if the Earth had been here for much longer that the 6000 years ". (wait, isn't everything possible for your god?)
"God could have created an earth that appeared aged "
So which is it? Either it is not possible or it is; make up your fucking mind.
No more than it's possible that a different god created the earth way more than 4.5 billion years ago, but made appear to be only 4.5 billion years old.
By what rational argument should we conclude that either the very very old earth or the very very young earth models are superior to the model that doesn't require we incorporate completely speculative supernatural intervention?
Sure, it's possible. Assuming God actually exists.
But if that's what happened, then that means that He actually created a substantial portion of the human race specifically for the purpose of misleading just so that He could torture them forever.
You might want to rethink your basic assumptions.
Confused?
