That word. You keep using it.
I do not think it means what you think it means.
I, and many others, also have our own CIVIL RIGHT to live in a gay-marriage free society
"I and many others have our own CIVIL RIGHT to live in a n***er-free society!"--Random toothless redneck, circa 1955
Stop using civil rights to cover your own bigotry. I could claim that I, and many others, also have our own civil right to live in a bigotry-free society.
Or, I could take the alternate route and claim that I have a civil right to live in a society that allows gay marriage. See what I did there?
Nothing surprising in finding a religious morn who also turns out ot be a complete moron on other areas of life too.
Seems like it is a requirement to join these douchebags to be as ignorant as possible, as uneducated as possible, as xenophobic as possible. Basically, it's a requirement to be a huge asshole of a human being.
Civil rights don't work that way.
The point of civil rights is that people can do what they want just as long as they aren't directly harming anybody else by their actions.
The fact that you don't like gay marriage doesn't mean that gay marriage is harmful to you in any direct sense. You don't have the right to deny other people rights just because you don't agree with them.
I'm sure racists in the 1950s were fond of saying they were free to live in a "Negro-free" society.
Quick check, and yes, they still say that.

We can have a fundy mirror mirror cage match and see if either one notices the irony.

Well, that's what the legal argument will be when the Prop 8 opponents take the issue to the California Supreme Court: Is gay marriage a basic civil liberty that should not be voted on by the masses but rather inherent to citizenship in the USA? They're taking it broader than just the definition of marriage = one man + one woman which is how Prop 8 reverses same-sex marriages.
That's not how civil rights work dumbshit.
Civil rights are about giving freedoms, not restricting them.
How would you feel if they outlawed straight marriage?
OK. I'm going to try to follow your logic with a different topic.
I hate cauliflower just about more than anything else in the world. So, if I follow your reasoning, I have my own civil right to live in a world with no cauliflower. Never mind that there are people out there that LOVE cauliflower, my civil right to a cauliflower-free society overrides their right to live in a society with cauliflower. I'm sorry, but civil rights do not work that way.
Ow. That hurt my brain.
In the US, you do NOT have the right to not be offended, nor to force your prejudices on others.
Feel free to move to a place where you do. Like, say, a small raft in the middle of the Arctic.
That is not a civil right. And besides, what does it matter if you live near a gay couple? Are they going to force you and your children to watch the have anal or sodomize them. Seriously, get a fucking life (and brain).
Bzzzz! Wrong!
If that were the case, then we have our own CIVIL RIGHT to live in a religion-free society.
Hey, what do you know; I almost do! (But our Christian Democrats are trying to change that. Problem is that all religous people are engaged in that party (joking, but it's not that far from the truth), and no-one else is that eager to invite religion into government.)
Well ....no, no you don't. It's not my business to tell the neighbors to eat their broccoli, wear clothing a size larger, or plant pink petunias instead of white ones. In exactly the same way it's not my business what romantic interests they may have. Your nose is too long, and if you don't watch where you stick it, it's likely to be chopped off.

You have no right to live in a gay marriage-free society.
We who support LGBT rights however, have all the right in the world to live in a Schadenfreude -full society in a world of whining butthurt entitled snowflakes who are forced to live in this persecution-free society.
And you only have the right to like it.
Confused?
